I remember this day as if it was my favourite movie that I had watched over and over again. It was scorching hot outside, and all I wanted to do is cry myself to sleep. I sat on the hardwood floor next to my bed, hoping that someone would just kill me already, instead of me slowly dying on my own. I wanted to get it over, quickly and painless. But I guess I had spoken too soon.
-
I was home alone, since my parents were away on some trip without me (as usual). I didn't mind though, it's not like I really wanted to be with them anyways. I hadn't eaten all day, and I started to feel slightly light headed. There was basically no food in the house, unless you count cat food, so I thought I'd take a walk to the 7-Eleven down the street and get myself something to eat. I went downstairs, put my flip flops on, took my purse, and then I left. It was the middle of the night, 11:56 pm to be exact. I wasn't scared though, there's never crime in this part of town anyways, only rich old people live here. As I approached the 7-Eleven, I heard a loud yelling noise inside the building. Being my curious, nosy self, I quietly went in.
-
I was utterly shocked. The cashier was on the ground, blood pouring out of his mouth, his body turned pale and numb. A few feet next to him in the other aisle was a middle aged looking man with sharp blue eyes, just like mine, with a gun in his left hand and a smartphone in the other. I crouched down so he wouldn't see me, and I tried to get a bit closer. He had a small lady with dark brown hair that had gigantic high heels on and a large leather jacket pinned onto the wall, with his spare hand around her throat. "So Gaga, what would you like your last words to be for your little monsters?" He spoke into the phone. Gaga? Little monsters? No way. I couldn't let this happen. "NO." I screamed as I ran up to the man. I tripped over my own shoe and almost ran into him. "Kill me instead." I told him, with no reluctance. Why not? My life was useless anyways. "Sweetheart, no. Please. Leave!!" Gaga tried to say as her voice quivered. But I wasn't moving.
-
"Go ahead, shoot me" I yelled. "That is if you've really got the balls." The man stared at me for a solid 30 seconds and then grinned, almost as if he knew me. He walked up to me and said "Okay, Rose. If that's what you wish." How did he know my name!!? Gaga, if that was even the real gaga, was silently sobbing in the background, and every so often I heard her whimper. The man took one more step closer to me, and put the gun up to my head. And then, you'll never guess what happened.
