Readers POV:

Last week of school before winter break. The second best week of school. I still hadn't decided who I was going to hang out with, or what I was gonna do, or when I was gonna do whatever. But of course, Id be spending the most time with Gavin.

I walked down the long hallway looking for one of the guys, and off in the distance I saw Ray talking to a girl.
Ray talking to a girl other than me and Lindsay, is an odd thing. I slowly approached their conversation.

"Hey Ray..." I said looking at him and the girl.

"Hey, (y/n) this is a friend of mine Tina." Ray said.

"Hi." Tina said with a smile.

"Oh uh when did you two become friends?" I asked.

"At the beginning of the year when you and Gavin were gone. She helped me hold my books when I was on crutches." He said smiling at Tina. "And she left after the second week, but now she is coming back for the second semester."

"Alrighty then, are you coming home with the lads today? Michael no longer has a provisional license, so we can ride with him." I asked hopefully.

"Yah that sounds fine." He said kinda bluntly.

"Okay well it was nice meeting you Tina." I said awkwardly. "and I'll see ya in a bit Ray."

Who the fuck was this girl? and how come Ray never told me about her after all of this time? and why does he seem so blunt around the guys and happy around her? I honestly couldn't help but feel....jealous.

I walked into the cafeteria for lunch, and noticed all the guys there except Gavin. But I went to the table anyways.

"Dude Tina showed me her collection of Pokemon figures...it was pretty sweet!" Michael said to the group.

"Yah. She's pretty cool like that." Ray said happily.

"Hey guys where's Gavin?" I asked the group.

"Restroom." Ray said next to me. "He should be back soon."

"Yeah yeah so anyways," Ryan interrupted, "do you know how amazing she is at Mario kart on the DS? she demolished everyone but 2 minutes!"

Wow. For the first time, I felt excluded by these guys.

"Oh my gosh! And did you seen her awesome Halo bag? She made it herself too!" Geoff announced as well.

Finally after a long conversation of Tina's talents, Gavin came back to the table.

"What's wrong?" he asked me with his hand on my back.

"Nothing. I'm fine." I said holding a fake smile.

But Gavin noticed anyways.

"Wanna talk about it later?" He said.

"I do." I responded.

After a long day of school, I finally caught up with Gavin in the hallway.

"Hey there." He said while hugging me.

"Hi." I said back.

"Have you met Rays new friend?" Gavin asked me.

"GOD DAMMIT. CAN EVERYONE STOP OBSESSING ABOUT TINA FOR ONE SECOND?" I couldn't hold it in any longer,
"WHAT DID YOU WANNA SAY ABOUT HER? HM? HOW HIGH HER GAMER SCORE IS? OR HOW GOOD SHE IS AT NOSE SCOPING?"

"I just wanted to ask if you knew her name that's all...is that what was up with you at lunch?" he asked.

"I'm sorry Gavin. I'm just fed up with Tina. God. She was here for 2 weeks, left, and now she's coming back!" I continued, "and if everyone is obsessing over her now, Imagine what it will be like when she actually starts hanging out with the group, and she'll become the new me! IN FACT there wouldn't even be a "group" if it weren't for me. If I didn't wear that shirt, or if I never met Ray or Ryan or Jack, or Lindsay half of you guys wouldn't even know each other!"
