K.O was at home with his mother Carol, enjoying his summer. Carol was sitting on the couch with her son, watching their favorite show. But that was interrupted when the news came on.
"This is Dynamite Watkins of ActionNews 52, I'm here to report that a hero from P.O.I.N.T was just killed in action by another hero by dismemberment. The person who committed this action said that something was controlling them to-" Dynamite Watkins report was then interrupted by someone. They didn't appear on the screen, but a picture of a black, queen chess piece with a red background behind it was on the screen.
"This is not a tragedy. This is not an accident. This is what happens why you hand over your trust, your safety, your children to men who claim to be our guardians. But are, in reality, nothing more than men. Even these "villains" are just men."
"Our superhero organization's leader wields more power than most of the members of P.O.I.N.T. The high council was even audacious enough to allow that leader to hold a seat there and control both. They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here?"
"One cities attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another superstar hero. What need would Jabami City have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference. And what I ask you, is what is P.O.I.N.T Prep Academy teaching their students?"
"First a casualty count of 289 heroes dead, and now a dismemberment? Heroes should carry themselves with honor and mercy, yet I have witnessed neither. Perhaps P.O.I.N.T Prep Academy felt as though having a certain select few of students to cheat their way into becoming heroes would help people forget about their colossal failure to protect their precious innocent civilians when the Grimm invaded their streets."
"Or perhaps, this was their message to tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting city with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue to who is right and who is wrong. I know that the existence of peace is fragile, but the leaders of the cities conduct their business with iron gloves."
"As someone who hails from Neo Riot City, I can assure you that the situation there is, equally undesirable. Our cities are at the brink of war, and yet we, the citizens are left in the dark. So I ask you, when the first shots are fired, who do you think you can trust?"
After the speech the mysterious stranger gave ended, everything went downhill.
