Different

Everybody wants to fit in, don't they?

Well take a moment to listen - or read - what I'm about to say

It's alright to be different from society

Because it shows that you're real and you're the best that you can be

If you're called an ugly freak by all those other girls

They have no idea how things work in your own world

You would rather show your imperfections because you have pride

That what we call 'true beauty' comes from deep down inside

If you've been called a geek, come on up and raise your hand

Don't worry, they are just that dumb that they don't understand

Gaming, reading, writing, that's what they simply see

But I know that it's your escape from bad reality

They call you nerd for carrying gazillion textbooks

Some push you down, laugh, and give you dirty looks

They just think they're too 'cool' for studying in school

But in the next few years we'll see who will be the fool

So stop and put the blade down now, don't cry anymore

God has plans for all of us, we'll see what's in store

Do not change for anyone, just go and be you

You might not fit in now, dear, the great ones never do!

Note:

Hey, there! (:

Please forgive me if this poem (and my other works) sucks. I made this one last month at 9 in the morning and I was a bit cranky. I'll make and post the cover soon.

Oh and the last line, it's actually a post I stumbled upon on Facebook that says:

"Bad news: You don't fit in.

Good news: The great ones never do."

Stay true! ♡

Thanks for reading! (:
