"Yes I promise you I have everything packed and I have my plane ticket. Yes. Yes. Yes. I know, you tell me this all the time" I explained to my manger Kate as I giggled.
"OKAYYYY we've went over everything twice already now can I please get in my Uber" I pleaded while laughing at how cautious she was being.
"Omg yes fine, but you better have everything" she said while laughing back noticing how cautious she was being.
" I do, now I'll call you before I board the plane" I said finally getting in my Uber and buckling my seatbelt.
"Okay" she sighed and as I went to hang up she called out: "Hey kid, I also want you to know that I'm very proud of you and can't wait for you to show the world your talent" she let out in a sympathetic and loving tone.
"Thanks Kate, for that and always believing in me" I replied back now with a smile on my face.
"And also remember life is what you make it" she said waiting for me to finish.
" Not what life makes you" I finished smiling and shaking my head at how corny she was but at the same time she was right, if I wanted my life to go a certain way then I had to make the decisions, the right ones, but with that I hung up and was off to the airport.

As I arrived to the airport a little early I decided to get some coffee, not that I need it or anything, I was "already always hyper enough" as Kate would say
I checked in for my flight and waited for them to announce my flight. While waiting I decided to listen to some music quickly plugging in my heard phones and shoving one of them in my ear leaving one out so I could hear the intercom when the time came to board my plane. I clicked shuffle on my Apple music and of course one of my faves started playing: Where were you in the morning by Shawn Mendes. Just thinking about him sent chills down my back and really got me thinking: HOW COULD ANYONE JUST GET UP AND LEAVE HIM? She had to have been crazy.
Just then: "FLIGHT 451, now boarding" came blasting through the intercom making me jump out of my thoughts about Shawn.
As I rushed to the gate I remembered I need to call Kate to tell her I was boarding. I quickly dialed her number and listened as it rang.
"Wassup kid?" She answered
"Hey just wanted to tell you I was about to board" I answered
"Ooo okay great be careful and remember to use that pepper spray I bought you if someone tried something" she said in a spiteful tone
I laughed and responded " Roger that"
"Also..." she continued. "...the casting director wanted you to get a feel of the city since you'll be living there for now on and filming there so they sent someone to show you around before filming starts, they'll be there to pick you up once you land" she finished
"O wow, great okay do you kno-" I went to say but was interrupted by the flight attendant: "Ma'am are you boarding? The doors are about to close" she expressed
"O yes" I replied "I got to go Kate, call you when I get there" I hung up and quickly handed her my ticket and ran onto the plane finding my seat and getting comfortable.
As I looked out the window watching us take off, all I could think about was what was ahead for me in the future and what I was happy I was leaving behind. When I got to LA things were finally going to go my way.
"Watch out LA cuz here I come baby" I mumbled to myself as the plane went up in the air.
