(Ashlyn's pov)

I watch as Steve tenses up when hearing Billy's voices come from the doorway of my room. I look between them to see them talking with their eyes instead of actual words.

"Whats wrong?" I ask softly while looking between the two with a concerned face.

"Why is he here?" Billy asked, looking pissed and tense. With a clench of my jaw, I look at him.

"He can be here just like you, so stop acting as if this is your house, this is my home, not yours. " I say, he looks at me with an unreadable look. I turn to Steve and smile.

"Wanna head downstairs, I can make some tea or something and we can hang out if you want?" I say gently, he nods and we both make our way down to the main level of the house and I head into the kitchen and begin pulling out stuff for tea.

"How do you like your tea, Steve?" I call from where I'm standing getting three mugs to put the tea in when a voice responds, "With honey, please." comes Steve's voice. I nod and get the honey and put some on a spoon to stir into the warm liquid.

I walk into the living room and hand Steve his mug, "Here you go" I say. "Thank you, Ash." Says Steve. He looks nervous.

"What's wrong?" I ask looking at him in concern, he just shrugs and takes a sip out of his tea. "Just worried that Billy will try to start something." He says, looking around as if Billy was going to jump out and at him.

I raise a perfectly dark brow at him and shake my head as I start to stand, I hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Harrington." Says Billy, nodding towards Steve as he jumps up to stand up. Steve tenses as Billy walk towards him with a menacing look in his eyes, like he would kill him if you gave him the chance, Steve tries to move towards me and hide but didn't work when he tripped over his own feet.

"Billy stop it!" I yell out as he continues to make his way towards poor Steve.

Steve jumps up and moves towards the front door, "I have to go, I'll see you at school." Steve rushes out as he runs out the door.

I turn towards Billy, "Really!"I yelled at him then storm upstairs, ignoring him as he calls my name. I walk into my room and shut the door and lock it so he cant get in.

'I can't believe him' I thought to myself, as I pace the floor angerly.

I sigh and walk to the door and open just to be met with someone's chest, I frown then look up to see Billy standing in front of me and he looks down at me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." He says looking me in the eyes. I look down and sigh, "Its okay, just don do it again." I say as I look up, I notice this look in Billy's eyes.

"What?" I ask, looking around instead of in his eyes.

"Your so beautiful" He mumbled under his breath, I look up in surprise. "Wha...what?" I ask confused.

"N-nothing." He says looking away and trying to move away. "No, what did you say?" I question looking him up and down. "It's nothing." He grumbles with his head down, blushing then heads down the stairs, leaving the house. I sigh and slump to the floor trying to figure out what Billy meant.

"Sweety I'm home!" Calls my mom as I walk down the stairs at a slow pace. "Hey, mom. " I said as I slumped into the chair near the kitchen. "Honey, whats wrong, what got you all upset?" Mom asked concerned sitting in the chair next to me. I look at her then turned away looking at my hands. " I'm not upset mom just confused, it's nothing really. " I replied seeing her look at me with disbelief.

"Ok, sweetheart but remember, I'm here if you need anything, I was once your age too you know." Mom said as I look at her embarrassed and horrified. "Eww, No mom gross." I say.

"What, I was as you kids now say 'hip', when I was your age. " Mom says. I looked at her shaking my head and started to get up." What? You don't think I couldn't bust a move like back in the old days." She says smirking at me, my eyes widen and I look away.

"God mom, no that's so gross. I'm going back upstairs." I say walking back upstairs and away from my weird ass mom.  once upstairs I go to my room and shut the door and go to my stereo, turning on some music but change the station when I hear pop music come on. I change the station to the local rock station then go and sit down on the bed where I find a note on the edge of my black pillow.

Ash, meet me by the car park tomorrow after school. From Billy.

I stare at the note for a couple of seconds then shaking my head, 'Billy you sly dog' I think to myself while smirking. With a shake of my head, I got up and grabbed my clothes for tomorrow and put them on my desk plus my black combat boots.

I then grab my towel and pj's for the night and go take a nice burning hot shower then begin humming alone to the music playing in the background, then 'Middle finger by Bohnes' comes on.

You show me love then spit in my face
Making your money off all of my pain
You put an eagle inside of a cage
And you think I'm not strong enough to escape

But I refuse to let you make me feel like I can't fly
Not only will I soar again, I'll own the fucking sky
Yeah

So I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave
My generation's had enough
And you should be afraid
Oh... not your prisoner
Oh... better listen when I say
I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave

You couldn't even look me in the eye
When you let me go and then left me to die
But there was no question that I would survive
An artist on fire is one that's alive

You can't surround a lion with a bunch of lazy sheep
The one thing about royalty is that we love to feast

So I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave
My generation's had enough
And you should be afraid
Oh... not your prisoner
Oh... better listen when I say
I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave

Living like a riot
Setting off the sirens
Fists are clinched, I'm fighting
Soul has been ignited
Ain't got time for dying
I'm too busy thriving
More than just surviving
Heart is beating violent
Living like a riot
Setting off the sirens
Fists are clinched, I'm fighting
Soul has been ignited
Ain't got time for dying
I'm too busy thriving
More than just surviving
Heart is beating violent

So I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave
My generation's had enough
And you should be afraid
Oh... not your prisoner
Oh... better listen when I say
I put my middle finger up
I'm done being your slave

After my shower im lying in bed thinking about what Billy had written to me and I give into the feeling of going to see him, the only thing is stopping me is the thought of him hurting Steve. That was my last thought before I falling to a dreamless sleep.
