Kenny's POV

"What is it?" I ask, stepping back from Petra a little. Did I do something wrong?

"Kenny.." She sighed and looked down.

"What's wrong?" I ask again. I'm worried now. She seems really, well, I don't know.

"I really like our hook-ups and all, but," she paused, "Is there ever going to be anything more than this?"

I'm a little taken aback. No girl has ever really wanted more out of me than a few hook-ups. "Are you saying," I start slowly, trying to find the right words. "You, would want more than this?" I'm a little confused, but more with how I feel than about what she is saying. "I mean, I've had flings plenty of times before but, I've never really dated someone."

"Well," she said. I can tell that this is hard for her. "I could be the first, if you want me to."

I feel my cheeks get warm as they turn a rosy color. Good thing it's dark. "Okay, I'd like that."

"Really?" She seems a bit surprised.

"Just promise me something." I say.

"What is it?" She asks curiously.

"Just, if things take a turn for the worse and we end up not working out, I want us to still be friends." I tell her. "I like having you around."

She smiles, and even in the dark I can tell that she's blushing too. "Me too."

I'm silent for a few seconds. "Still horny, though."

Kyle's POV

"Weak." Cartman says in reply to Stan.

"Ugh, I know." Stan replies. He just finished telling us about what happened last night with him and Michelle, and how he chickened out.

Stan is and has been my best friend for as long as I can remember, which makes it even harder for me to see him like this. Normally he's pretty confident and calm, even around Michelle. But now that the opportunity to make his move has finally come around, he's starting to think it's not as good an idea as he thought.

"Stan," I say after swallowing a mouthful of breakfast. "You can't back out now. You're so close, dude."

"I know." He says, finishing his plate of food. "I won't. In fact, you know what, I'm going to do it tonight."

"Tonight?" Cartman echoes.

"Tonight." Stan confirms. "No matter what."

"What's going on tonight?" Kenny asks as he comes back from the bathroom.

"I'm finally going to make my move on Michelle." Stan repeats as Kenny sits down.

"Ooh, good luck man." Kenny says, patting Stan on the back.

"Kenny," Cartman starts, "Tell Kyle what you told me and Stan!"

"Huh?" I look over at Kenny, and he's smiling in a way I've never seen him smile before. What's going on? I wonder.

"Petra and I are going out." He says.

"Going out!?" I repeat. "As in an actual date!?"

"Yep." He says, leaning back in his chair with his hands behind his head.

"Dude!" I exclaim. "That awesome! This is like, your first actual girlfriend!"

"Ah ah, she isn't my girlfriend. Yet." Kenny replies, smirking.

"Class, you have five minutes to meet us outside at the firepit. We're leaving for the zip lines, soon." The teacher yells over the buzz of conversation. We finish our food as fast as we can and head outside to start the hike to the zip lines.
