Hunting the alpha

Chapter 7:

He had me pinned to the floor surprising roughly gripping at my wrists tightly and he bent his head down and whispered "I meant what I said stay away from me AND my pack".

"Or I'll slaughter all your people and YOU and I'll do it with pride b*tch" he said with a cruel smile.

Then he shouted out for even the hunters to hear "is this you future leader?"  "She's weaker than the omegas in my pack no fighting skill at all . She's not even a challenge". 

then he turned to the hunter and yelled in their faces "she is weak!"

then he stared smirking again.

Loud clapping was heard and he got off me immediately and celebrated their victory. I could hear Jacob and Katie both calling my name asking what happened, but I couldn't reply my mind had gone blank through his hurtful words. We had said something similar to each other earlier but this time he seemed serious.

The whole pack growled the girls and boys together, then they walked off of course "E" was in the middle. Tears were threatening to spill out of my eyes not all because of what he had said but because I was the princess I wasn't meant to show weakness and in that moment he had caught me off guard and made a fool out of me in front of people in my family's clan.

"Kayla!" I heard Katie shout.

But I just took off out of the School doors. I didn't know where I was running but i wasn't going to face my family or the clan.

I wouldn't be back for a while days mabey years I just needed to find myself. I snuck into the clan house and began to pack a huge bag with all of my clothes trying not to alert my parents I was home.

I put the snacks I had stuffed under my bed in the bag and som of my toiletries. I packed my bow and arrows and wolfs bane gun along with a few bullets. I quickly scribbled up the note that I would leave for my parents and my brother and a different one for Katie and placed them on the table.

I knew my brother would be hurt and he would want to kill "E" so I didn't say what had caused this but I had to leave sooner or later today just showed me how urgent it was.

I had to learn how to be strong. To fight back and in order to do that I needed to go and live with two of the strongest hunters I know....

E's point of view:

As me and my pack walked off Carl started to mind link me about what happened.

"Why would you do that?" He said angrily through the mind link.

"I had to she's a hunter." Was my simple reply.

"So is my mate but I didn't go and say some sh*t like that." He said

"She's probably going to hate you now."

After him saying that I cut off our mind link after the last sentence. She probably did hate me after what I did. I couldn't help it though my pack needed to see I was a strong leader even if it meant putting her to shame.

Yet the thought of her beautiful face saddened was causing me reoccurring pain and the mere fact that she was mad at me driving me insane. I just had this strong feeling I wasn't going to see her again which really frightened me. Although she was a monster I needed her to be near me.

Katie's point of view:

A  few months after:

It's been 4 months since Kayla disappeared and no body had gotten over it, her dad still sent out search parties everyday and her mother and brother still cried. She had left us all notes with not much explaining to and no clues as to where she had actually gone.

I had asked her mate a few times but he doesn't seem to want to be reminded of her anymore. Him and my mate have just been too focused on the training for being future beta and alpha of their pack.

I was begging to really like my mate. During  the few months Kayla had been gone we would sneak out some nights and talk about us and not about killing each other. I had stopped considering
him a mutt and more someone who's company I enjoyed. Kayla's mate on the other hand wasn't the same he had become a heartless pr*ck  since she left. He picked on weaker and stronger hunters without a care of our agreement and walked around like he owned the place with his b*tch of a girlfriend,

It was my job to report all this to mine and kayla's parents since she was gone and I would be her right hand and guard , But couldn't bring myself to do it .  "E" was just upset at her disapearence because of their connection my mate Carl (who I recently figured out his name) had taught me more about the mate bonds and what comes with it. you could tell he still cared from the way he would stand hear her locked locker packed with all her stuff. He would just stand there and stare at it I guess taking in her scent. He acted like he had forgotten my cousin even Carl believed he did but I knew better.

2 weeks later :

I had gotten home from school and went up to my room for a nap when I found a small letter nicely placed on my bed with a huge K.A written on it. I immediately dropped my bags and ran to the bed recognising her initials. I ripped open the letter violently hoping for a location that would lead to her I needed my cousin back.  It read....

Dear Katie

I miss you and the laughs we had please know that iam ok and please tell Jayden and my parents not to worry about me I'm fine. I hope your getting on good with your friends even with your mate I guess .  I'll be back soon XXXX K.A

It was the most I had gotten from her in ages . Tears of joy spilt from my eyes she was ok. I studied the letter again and saw some indent marks where the pencil had been rubbed out. I squinted my eyes and was shocked by what I saw. The words  " how is E by the way" had been rubbed out . He was the cause for her disappearance . I had heard from around School what he said to her that day . yet she still cared about his well being. I couldn't help but smile I could tell those two were not meant to be separated.

I tucked the letter in my pocket and texted Jayden about the letter but told him to keep it on the low. I didn't need her parents to ask questions about how the hunters were getting on or anything and kayla's letter could trigger that.

I lay down on my bed and smiled to my self she was out there some where and at least I knew she would come back....
