So this is my life story. I'm Naina. I live in Mumbai. 14. Typical bookworm. Also a lovebird. I strongly believe in love, that love does exist and one day we'll all find our Mr. Perfect. It sounds all cheesy. Duh.
So here's how my story starts. I was 11. I used to go to this maths tution in my building. I was in 6th grade. There also came a guy, 13, in 8th maybe. He was one of the most kindest guy I had ever seen. He had saved me from a dog once. TRUTH - I am deathly afraid of dogs.
His name was Abhinay. Abhinay Raj. He was a Tamilian, but his Hindi was better than mine, a Maharashtrian.
Something was different in his smile. The way he walked, the way he talked, the way he looked at me, it all seemed surprisingly magical as I turned 13. The thought of going down and meeting him brought butterflies in my stomach. It did! Really!
One day four months after my birthday, it was my best friend Arnav's birthday party. He had been my best friend since I could remember, but he was a bit stubborn and he was shy, too. He called me up when I was getting ready.
"Hey Arnav! All set?"
"Hmmm" he replied, proving his stubborness.
"What? Why did you call?" I asked him after an awkward silence of about 5 seconds.
"Oh nothing. Just to check whether are you all set."
"Umm.. Yup I am. What are you wearing? Tuxedos?" I asked him.
"No!" he denied in an offensive way. "Tuxedos? Me? Lol."
"Ok, ok, but who all are coming?"
"Just the building buddies."
"Hmm..." I replied.
It struck to me the building buddies also included Abhinay, and once again there were butterflies in my stomach.
"You there?" He asked.
"Yup, but I gotta go. See you down in 10. Bye."
I disconnected the call even before he could say bye. This was something happening to me for the first time. Why was I so happy that Abhinay was coming there?
"Why?" I said to myself.
"What?" mom asked.
"Nothing, mom." I said as I put the final clip on my perfect bun hairdo.
"Dear, you look gorgeous." mom said. "I am so proud that you did this hairdo on your own."
"Yeah. Thanks. Isn't it gorgeous?"
"Yes ofcourse!"
"So, what did you buy Arnav? You haven't told me yet." mom asked.
"Well, I bought him a book and two Titan watches."
"WHAT?"
"What? I bought him a Titan watch and two books." I said.
"Dear, what makes you so distracted??"
"Nothing mom." I said as I grabbed my bag and went to the door. "Just a tiny slip of tongue."
But that wasn't true. The thing that was distracting me was Abhinay. I decided to text my bestie Keisha about this. TRUTH - She wasn't invited. She also stays in our building, but not a good friend of Arnav.

What does Naina text Keisha? What is her reaction? Does Abhinay come to Arnav's party? Find out more soon! :)
