"Well, Mr.Diggory seems to me you're all set. Here's your room key and you're schedule." Mrs. Sanchez, the assistant director of housing, says with a wide smile on her lipstick bound lips. "Have a nice day!"

"Thank you, you too!" I respond, returning the smile politely. I collect the items from her and walk down the hallway, spotting my best friends Day and Jack chatting as they wait for my return.

Hearing my footsteps, Jack whips around and gives me a tight hug, his much larger frame lifts me to the ground." Ugh put me down, Jack." I say as I try to wiggle out of his grip.

"Hey, don't scold me for being affectionate, bro. I'm so proud to see my best friend in college. With a full ride scholarship no less!" He says. He then proceeds to affectionately pat me on the back.

"Yeah I'm proud too, but you don't see me choking the guy every five minutes." Day says using her body to create a distance between Jack and I. "Besides we're gonna be late for our first class. Don, did you get your schedule?"

"She's right take it out so we can compare." Jack says.

I unfold the pale yellow paper and I hand it over to Day who takes out her own schedule to hold against mine side by side. Jack leans against her shoulder to read along.

"Okay so we all have Equivalentology first period. You and I have Home Economics together 2nd period, and then Jack and I have 3rd period U.S. history, but you have a free period. 4th period you have psychology while I have my child development class and 5th you have English literature with Jack." Day finishes.

"Alright not too bad considering we're all majoring in different things." I say as Day gives me back my schedule.

"Mhmm."she responds, checking her watch,"wouldn't wanna be late now do we?"

"Class is only a few turns away from here, Day. Don't you worry your pretty little head about being late." Jack teases.

Then the bell rings.

"Crap!" Jack shrieks as he runs down the hall , his carelessness causes him to hit his hand against the wall and he howls in pain, but keeps on running.

Day and I laugh as we jog closely behind him.

"Good morning class I'm Professor Wilhelm and I will be your Equivalentology teacher for this school year. On behalf of myself as well as the faculty and staff of Dartmouth University, welcome!" He says with a little bow.

Professor Wilhelm seems to be a kind old man with a well ironed navy blue suit and a black and white striped shirt paired with a black old fashioned style tie. He has curly salt and pepper hair and a mustache that curls at the ends. He looks to be around the same height as I am which is 5'6 or 5'7 and he has a protruding belly that jiggles as he walks. The wide toothy grin he sends to all of us seems genuine as it reaches all the way up to his bright blue eyes with not-so-subtle crow's feet.

"Lets get started shall we?" Mr. Wilhelm says and we all take out our Laptops, Ipads and other technological devices. I take out my own laptop and electronic pencil . "Please turn to page 5 in your textbooks."

" I want to start you guys off easy with a little introduction into what Equivalentology is before I suffocate you all with facts and history and biology and all of that hullabaloo."
