Soft knocks echoed inside Daesuk's peaceful office as he was resting his head at the headrest. "Come in."

The door revealed a short fit man dressed in a proffesional suit. His hair neatly brushed up, his eyes round but sharpened at the end, his nose mounting perfectly, his lips naturally red and his cheeks standing out. He was an unexpected visitor indeed. He bowed 45 degrees and entered.

"May I help you young man?" Daesuk stood up to welcome him. "Yes sir." He was motioned to take a seat on the comfy couch.

"What brings you here?" Daesuk politely asked crossing his legs. "Let's skip the foreword Mr. Han. I wanna go straight to the point. Do you perhaps know a man by the name of Jang Geun Ri?" The boy maintained eye contact showing he was serious as hell.

"Who are you?" Daesuk narrowed his eyes.

"Son of Kim Minjeo, Kim Minseok. Luhan's half brother." He answered. "Trusting you with my name meant risking already. So. Your answer Mr. Han?"

"Yes. I know him too well." Daesuk admitted still tracing Xiumin's whereabouts. "Do you know something about his drug business?"

"Of course. I was once a member. A betrayed member." Daesuk said not looking at him. "I'm not much interested with the story behind, but if you were betrayed, you bear grudge against him, correct?"

"Who wouldn't son." Daesuk answered whilst smirking in amusement. "You speak really well young man. I like you."

"Thank you Mr. Han. So.. how about a deal?"

"What is it that you want?"

"My father was his former dealer. But when their deal's off, he won't let my father get away. I sent him far away from here to somewhere safe after knowing everything about it. His comrades were being killed one by one and I'm pretty sure he's behind it to prevent his business from getting publicity. I don't want my father killed. You hate him. We could share resources to take him down and bust him with enough evidence to take him down."

Daesuk lightly chuckled. "You've got it wrong child. You may bear no interest but I guess you should know about our past to understand more."

"If it's what it takes to protect our father, then I'd do it."

"But your brother might suffer? You know too well that he is aiming to catch culprits including me."

"I'll play the cards well. This is for him too. I'll let him know in the right time. I'll make him understand."

"Very well then." This kid have guts. He is something. "By the way." Daesuk continued making the boy's eyebrows furrow.

"Welcome to our hell." He said sending slight shivers to Xiumin.

"Kai can I have some?" Jae Mi asked after finishing her food, but before Kai could answer no, she already took some and stuffed it in her mouth. Actually not some. Quite a lot. The cheesecake doesn't come in big servings and Jae almost took half of it. Suho suppressed his laugh from Kai's expression. It was not the usual blunt ones. It was an amused-shocked one. Of course Suho wouldn't know it.

Go on Jae. Use this opportunity to get close to him while Kyungsoo's not here. Do this for his mom. Jae encouraged herself as she can see results from her recent actions towards Kai.

She was almost breaking in to his wall. She was really determined to accomplish something for Mrs. Jang. A plead means a lot to her especially if it's from a mother. A mother's heart is pure when it comes to her offsprings. You just can't blame Kai for sometimes letting his guard down either. He's just some teen too who needed to let emotions show like Jae. He was just trained not to, so that nothing can stop him from... assassinating.

Kai's precious seconds of truth timed out and he came back to usual. "You halve my cheesecake." He blurted out sarcastically.

"Aww. It's my birthday after all. Let it slip!" Jae Mi chortled like a child leaving Suho in a shocked state. Why exactly does she act like this anyway? He thought as he took a sip from his Iced Americano. "Uhh. Guys. Call of nature. Be right back in a jiffy." He excused himself leaving the two.

Kai scoffed thinking if he should continue eating. "You should eat it. I don't want to catch any infections from you." He said and pushed the plate to her. "How rude." Jae muttered.

"But anyway, Kai. I want to let you know that I won't stop. I will make you meet your mom. No matter what. I will still remind you of her. I'll-"

"No! Stop! Quit it already! I can't. I just.. still can't.. So shut up and mind your own business." Kai jested. Jae's eyes widened with the sudden outburst. It's not Kai's thing to speak exceeding 10 words and to think that it expressed... emotions. Jae saw how vulnerable he was.

How his weak spot showed after the mention of meeting his mom.

"K-Kai." She stuttered feeling a pang of guilt whilst he sighed. "Stop okay." That was the last two words she heard before Kai left. Jae stared at the leftover cheesecake. What just happened pushed her to work harder. "Just a little more.." she mumbled.

"Jae Mi-ah. Where's Kai?" Suho asked, back from the bathroom. "He had something urgent." She reasoned. "Wow he didn't finish his favorite cheesecake. Hm. By the way, do you have something to do the whole day?"

"No nothing really." She said with evident boredom. "Maybe I should just go home?"

"No! You can't!" Suho denied. "Calm down boy." Jae said looking at him weirdly. "Why?"

"It's still early. And I'll introduce you to my good friends. I'll make Lay cook lunch for us. It's delicious I promise. This is just a snack after all. So. Come with me?" Suho offered a hand to Jae and Jae gladly held it whilst beaming.

I guess I'll be celebrating with Suho after all... She sighed.

She's trying hard to hide her fallen expectations. Hope she wouldn't act so vulnerable in front of me. I might just reveal our plan if she does. Suho fanned himself getting nervous as he lead Jae Mi outside the cafe.
