       Beep BEEP Beep BEEP, erggggggggggggg.
"It's finally unplugged. After all these years. Oh my baby boy. My John. I'm so sorry this happened to you. " John's mom cried.
Sherlock and Mycroft stood in the  background watching tearfully. After all the trio had been through, it was all over. For better or worse. It was OVER!
Laughing tearfully Sherlock barried her head into her twins chest. It was over. All those years of work, all the pain and suffering. After Moriarty and Adler.  It was done.
No more sleeples nights sitting up talking to John, no more movie nights, no more crime solving. It was done. It was hard to believe. The three had come so far over the years.
Now it what they had worked so hard for was achieved, but they had lost a key member of their group. Their John Watson. Their solider boy.

Five year old Marina looked up at her big brother in fear. Michael stood in front of his hour younger sister, protecting her. The kidnappers shut the door of the bedroom, locking the pair inside.
A robbery at a birthday party wasn't something that Marina or Michael was expecting. Though they should have, after all they were smart.
"You okay Sher? " Michael asked,  using the short version of his pet nickname for his sister.
"Yeah, thanks too you, none of the stains to humanity touched me. " she replied.
"Come on, there has too be a way out somehow. I mean I know uncle Augustus built this place to last, but there's gotta be a way out. " Myc, his shorter version of a pet nickname from his little sister.
"I'll check vents, you check the doors and windows. "The girl suggested.
Nodding in agreement, the male went off to search. Marina walked over to the ventilation shaft hiden behind the bed. Wiggling the bed back a few inches, hard work for a five year old, she slide over to it.
Taking out her brand new lock picking set, she had only opened it an hour ago, the girl began to try and work the screws off the vent. Groaning in frustration as her attempts failed, the girl looked around to find her twin brother.
He was heading towards her. Climbing out, she shook her head. "Nope, can't open it. "
"Dang it! We need to get outta here."
Sighing both sat to think when Marina slapped her self in the forehead. "Stupid! We have lock picks, we can open the door, duh!"
Both shook their heads at their naivety.  After two failed attempts, Michael finally manged to open the door. Sneaking into the hallway, both crept down the silent halls.
Hiding every time they heard the bad guys, they made it to the balcony overlooking the sitting room. There most of the party guest were sat in a group.
No robbers were in the room, so the pair held hands and slipped down stairs. Hiding in between the sofa and wall, they looked around to make sure they were still safe. Then they both sat back in shock.
A blond boy their age was running towards the front door. He had a bullet wound in his shoulder, and looked terrified. Two of the men came after him. Recognizing the boy as John Watson from next door, the pair watched in horror as the men shot him again. Thankfully none of the guest saw.
The men left after making sure he was down, and the two raced over to him and pulled him into their hiding spot. Placing a makeshift bandage over his chest Michael then snuck to one of the grown-ups purse to find a phone.
Meanwhile, holding the injured boy to her chest, hoping he wouldn't die, the girl felt tears of hopelessness rise in her.
"Take this. Don't let them have it okay. Promise me?" John asked, handing her a velvet box.
"I promise. Just, stay awake please. "
"I'll try. Your really pretty, you know that?" He asked with a smile.
    "Thanks. "
"I called the police. There coming with an ambulance right now. " Michael said as he came back to them.
Nodding the pair  sat holding the unconscious boy.

None of the three knew that there lives had forever been intwined that day. That they would be bests of friends for life. After all, it wasn't about the game, it was about the players in it.
