New Friends

It was the night of the party and I just got done texting Shawn and letting him know that I would be there soon. I had just gotten out of the shower and started putting on my clothes. I went with a purple off the shoulder long sleeve crop top, back ripped jeans and my favorite sandals that had diamonds going up the middle. After I got done making sure my hair was done and I had all my jewelry, I grabbed my keys and my phone and was on my way to Shawn's party.

As I got there I noticed cars filled the street and his driveway and I could hear loud music coming from his house. I walked up to the door going to knock on it but it was opened for me since a few guys were hanging around it on the inside and one of them opened it for me when they saw me come up.
I thanked him and walked in seeing people everywhere partying, drinking, and some making out.

As I walked down the walkway almost getting to the kitchen Shawn jumped out of nowhere in front of me saying "Heyy glad you made it" while giving me a hug.

"Yea wouldn't miss it" I said over the loud music.

"Well hey some of my friends and I are about to play beer pong do you want to come and join? It'll be a great way for you to meet some of my friends" he smiled waiting for my answer.

"No I totally would but I don't drink, it's not me" I replied a little embarrassed.

He laughed a little seeming like you he was taken back for a little before saying "O that's okay, you can come watch but really there are some people that I really want you to meet" with a hopefully smile on his face.

"Okay sure" I nodded smiling finally giving in.

And with that he grabbed my hand and trailed me along through the partygoers out to the backyard where the pool was and a ping-pong table was set up with the beer pong game surrounded by a few of his friends.

" Hey guys this is Saige, she's not gonna play with us because she doesn't drink" he teased a little "but she's gonna watch." He explained.

That's when one of the girls standing around the table walked up to me.

"Hey I am Camila, Shawn bestfriend, and I've heard so much about you" she said smiling.

"O...really? I asked looking over at Shawn before turning my attention back to her

"Yeah this one can't stop talking about you" she said pointing at Shawn

"Okay okay that's enough, we have to start the game" he said as he guided her back towards the table sounding a little embarrassed.

I just laughed to myself before I was overcome by my thoughts: wow does he really talk about me a lot?. That thought bought a smile to my face because honestly this week with him has made me start to develop feelings in a way and I was glad to know that he might just have them to.

As I got out of my thoughts. I looked over at the game where there were people shouting and cheering Camila on as she was clearly kicking Shawn's ass in beer pong.

"Yess Camila cmon you got this" I shouted

"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side" Shawn shouted looking up shocked.

I shrugged giving him a "oops sorry, but not really" expression.

After the the game of beer pong, which Camila had clearly won, we all went to dancing inside amongst the rest of the party goers. Camila and I were really getting to know each other while dancing together and laughing. I really liked her. She was nice and now my new friend other than Shawn.

As we danced Shawn came over to us.

"Hey girls, mind if I join" he said asked starting to dance.
