"Why are you always showing up so late, Akane?" Kakashi scolded. "Even if it is just to hang out, you're practicing bad habits!"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't always show up late! I lost track of time, but I was picking something up for you, so stop complaining!"

He simply held out his hand.

I glared. "What is that for?"

"You said you picked something up for me!"

I sighed and sat down in the clearing where we met up. I removed my backpack and carefully took out the eggplant miso that I had special ordered at Ichiraku Ramen--Kakashi's favorite! "I brought us lunch," I exclaimed with a huge smile plastered across my face.

Kakashi sat down and took the lid off his share. Through his thin mask, I could see a small smile form across his lips. "Thanks, Akane."

I shot him a smile. "It's the least I could do for all you've done for me lately. Even though you've been training so hard to advance as a Jonin, you still take the time to help train me so I don't fall too far behind you." I brought a spoonful of the soup to my mouth. "It has been really hard without my parents here, so I'm glad I at least have you."

Kakashi lowered his mask and also began eating. I couldn't help but stare since he hardly ever removes his mask. "Do you want to come over for dinner tonight? My dad was wondering since you haven't been over in a few days."

"I'm still working on adjusting doing all of this without my parents. I can't rely on you and your dad my entire life, so I've been trying out some recipes and teaching myself how to cook." I smiled and scratched my head. "Though, it hasn't been going to well, so I think I'm going to take you up on that offer," I chucked.

"Hey, it's not like you're being bothersome!" Kakashi retorted. "We love having you over, it's a lot of fun. Plus, Dad says he owes your parents this at the very least."

"I really appreciate it," I grinned.

We both finished our meals and got ready to train. I wrapped my hands and arms in white cloth strips and started stretching. "What are we going to work on today?"

"Hmm," Kakashi looked to the sky. "I was thinking maybe ninjutsu training today since we've been doing so much combat training lately."

"I've been wanting to show you something I've been working on!" I ran for the other side of the cleaning. "Prepare to lose today!"

"I've also been working on a few things, so don't be too cocky."

Once I got to the other side, I focused immediately and began forming the correct hand signs. My chakra nature is earth, but recently, I discovered I could do so much more with it than I originally thought! I watched as Kakashi also began forming hand signs. Since his chakra nature is lightning, he tends to always beat me in matches like this, but maybe not today!

"Lightning style: lightning palm jutsu!" I watched at Kakashi's hand burst into a ball of electricity and began charging towards me.

I slowly breathed in. "Crystal style: jade crystal blade!" A bright blue crystal with a sharp tip formed down my forearm and past my fingertips, still allowing me to use my hand if needed. I noticed the shock on Kakashi's face but he still came right for me. I ran towards him as well, confident that my newly found ability would allow me to win a match against him. Kakashi aimed right for my crystal blade with his electrifying hand, and the crystal immediately shattered. Though shocked and disappointed, I switched to taijutsu and so did he, but we both knew where this would go. Within minutes, Kakashi had me pinned on the ground.
