*Death*
He was a beautiful human, I felt something the moment he was born, something strange, different. His mother was so close to death yet the doctors were shouting and trying to save her but they couldn't do anything about it. The clock was down to 5 seconds and all he could do was look at the small child. Amanda's soul flowed out of her chest slowly looking around.
"Do I have to go? Little Vladimir will need me..." I saw the hurt in her eyes and a tear rolled down my cheek.
"I'm afraid so my dear, when Life breaths into you she gives me a new stopwatch, it's my job to send someone there when it strikes zero, so you don't become lost."
"Will I go to heaven?" The girl looked for something to look forward to in the afterlife.
"Not exactly, you'll go to the land of the pure, where the rest of your family resides, well you have that one cousin who killed a few people but other than that..." she nodded in understanding.
"You don't really look like death," she stated.
"Oh? And what does death look like to you?"
"The grim reaper?" I chuckled.
"They do in most cases but Life wanted me at this one for some reason," I glanced at Vlad again,"are you ready or would you like a moment to say goodbye?" She smiled sadly and shook her head.
I held out my hand and she took it, we were transported into the land of the pure. Her family was before us and she smiled lovingly to her loved ones.
"Thank you. Oh! um Death?" I looked at her, "would you maybe watch out for Vladimir? If you can that is..." I smiled a little.
"It would be my pleasure Mrs. Dawn," this would give me an excuse to see the boy more often. I felt drawn to the child for some reason. I made my way back to the hospital to check on Vlad, seeing the boys father sobbing as he held the boy broke my heart more, would his father be ok? Would he become violent towards Vladimir? Why did Life want me here? Has she not tormented me enough? Once Oskar put him down and went to talk to the nurse I went over to Vlads crib.
"Hello Vladimir...you're going to be a phenomenal boy," Vlad giggled and reached for me, a panic arose in me. That tear, it must've fallen on him! I summoned his watch and its stopped. No count down, nothing. Well fuck.

I had decided not to go to work today, I would visit Vlad, it had been a while after all. This just happened to be Vlads 5th birthday and I really wanted to sneak a gift into the other gifts. It was a small farri, she was plush for now but when it would be just her and Vlad, she would come to life. It was amusing to see the confusion when Oskar handed Vlad the gift that no one claimed it was more amusing to see Oskar get confused about his son favoring a doll over all the other toys he had received. After the party I waited in Vlads room so see how he'd react to the farri. Vlad paddled into the room giggling and holding the toy as his father made dinner. She started to glow slightly so he put her gently on his pillow and watched in amazement. She fluttered to life for the first time and clumsily walked up to Vlad.
"Hello, who am I?" His eyes widened and he looked around before his eyes stopped at me, his face got brighter.
"What is her name?" She looked at me as well waiting for an answer of some kind.
"You name me silly!" She laughed at him and sat to mimic him. His eyes never left mine. Sometimes he would stare into my eyes for minutes before looking away.
"How bout Violet," he looked at her, "cause you're skin is purple and papa says vi-o-let is a purple. He grinned a toothy smile and she nodded. He was an adorable child and it scared me to think I'd have to take his life as well one day. If his watch started again. "Thank you for her sir," he was looking at me again, his eyes were captivating to me as well, they were green and brown.
"You don't have to thank me young Vladimir," he giggled, he thought it was so funny when I called him that. I stayed until dinner and watched as Violet fell lifeless into Vlads arms as his father walked down the hall, it made him grin like a madman. I then went to visit my old friend, Life."Comeon man open up!" I pounded on his door until it finally opened.
"Ya know Death I didn't move and change my form so you could disturb me." The man's real hair grew out over his tanned shoulders and his face nerfed into one of the Life that Death had known.
"There she is! Hey question, why did you send me to the Dawns'?" She giggled and floated around Death.
"You don't remember Deathy-poo? I decide what you have to do and I'mgetting soooo sick of your bitching." Death paled more than he usually did and he felt like he was going to puke. "You know..... it wont change because only you can kill him the rest of the way, and we both know you won't. You'd rather be selfish and see people in pain. I sent you to Amanda Dawn's death bed so you could fall in love with the mortal, he will need you to do it sooner or later and we both know no one here even remotely likes you. You take souls Death, you kill people. Lets see you be selfish some more." She grinned evilly and hung upside down.
"You did this to me Life!" His eyes glowed a furious red and his fists were clinched. "You were sick of only being able to create life so you created me! You didn't consider how I would feel, the only thing I can make are reapers!! Do you know what you've done to me? You are the selfish one Life."
"Always the victim arn't you Death? I don't understand why you're so upset, you're immortal, you have awesome powers! You created afterlife and make sure all those souls have a home isn't that good enough?" She poked his nose.
"I'm not part of your game Life...and I won't help you play any more," I walked away as she laughed.
"I'll just replace you, you'll truly be alone forever Death." I left and went to the ofice to grab my things, and blow out the windows, but mainly to grab my things. I then transported to my cabin in the wooded area behind the Dawn household. I have to be the one to kill him...
