Tyler's P.O.V
The weekend passed like the wind. It was really fast. Believe me, I had fun
I was thinking on throwing a party because Dad and mom will be out of town and Brittany is at her boyfriend's. I don't even know him or where he resides. Brittany is mature enough to take care of herself.
"Tyler" My dad called. I grumbled. My hair was looking messy and my face looked pale. I wasn't even ready for school at all.
I ran down the stairs and answered "Yes dad "
"Come here " he commanded
I rolled my eyes and stood opposite him
"Your mom and I will be out of town for a couple of weeks. I'm very sure you're excited "
Funny but I didn't even smile at all.
He cleared his throat "Well well, I'll keep some amount of money for your upkeep and if anything comes up don't hesitate to inform me. I'm trying my possible best to father a child that is not mine".
Those last words pierced my heart "I'm trying my possible best to father a child that is not mine "
Tears formed in my eyes that threatened to fall but I decided to prove to him that I'm not weak.
"Look Mr Daniel Jackson or whatever you call yourself. I'm not a bastard, Got it? "
I ran to my room and ignored him as he barked my name in rage "Tyler!"
Tears ran down to my cheeks and I cried for the first time in a long time. All because of that devil in disguise.

My door opened. I didn't care to check who it was.
"Tyler" my mom said and touched me calmly "You shouldn't talk to your father that way "
My blood began to boil and I pushed her hands away angrily "You're meant to be comforting me mom instead you're supporting that fool? I don't think you'd want to know what he said to me".
'It doesn't really matter Tyler " she said like I said trash earlier.
"Fine " I fired back "you never showed me love since you got married to that devil so I'm not surprised "
"He's your father Tyler! "
"You're not my mother! " I snapped back "please I beg of you " I said clasping my hands together "the both of you should leave for your trip and never come back. I hate the both of you with everything bit in me "
She became shocked "You hate me? "Her voice was shaky 'I got married to him because of you "
"Tell that to the dogs " I said and banged the door.
I packed some stuffs and drove to derrick's.

Mia's P.O.V
I'd gotten a job at Kira's place, a well known restaurant to become a waitress. It's nice working here but my fellow colleagues aren't really nice. They're grown ups and all.
Mom and aunt Bella didn't actually want me to work hereby because of the stress and all.But it's fine, I'll survive.
"Who's Mia Carter?" A tall busty woman asked rudely. She wore a tight fitting gown that exposed her folds, breasts and cleavages. Her makeup was heavy and her hair was messy. She didn't appear nice.
"I'm over here " I replied giving a broad smile. The manager had taught me that earlier.
It's not fun smiling like some statue.
She scrutinized me "You seem non chalant. I guess this is your first day at work?"
I was confused but didn't show it. I wonder who she is.
"Huh" I said "Yeah"
"Okay. What days do you work here?"
"It depends"
She walked out.
"Please who's she?" I asked one of the waitresses
"The owner of this restaurant. By the way, I'm April. You?" She asked in a friendly manner.
I guess she's new. I like her.
"Mia" I replied giving a smile
"I'm new here. My dad and mom died recently so I have to work here and earn some cash for myself" she said without any emotion
My face turned pale "I'm sorry about that. I'm just working here to make ends meet as well"
She chuckled "I guess we're on the same boat".
Just then, the manager came "You both should stop talking and get to work. We have some customers here".
April winked at me and we parted ways.

*At home*
"How was your first day at work? Aunt Bella asked curiously while mom hugged me tightly.
I flung my bag on the couch and pulled away from mom "not bad "
Henry hugged me very tightly "Mia where have you been?"
I carried him and placed him on my lap "Kira's place"
"Really?" He asked raising his brows "it's an expensive restaurant"
I sighed "Yes Henry. I'll take you there someday"
He nodded and ran back to his room. I noticed mom was looking moody. I guess she was extremely worried about something.
I touched her gently "Mom?"
She jerked into reality and placed her hand on mine "Dear go to bed. You look tired. You also have to be at school tomorrow"
"I'll start work tomorrow at least I can assist you guys for the main time" aunt Bella said feeling concerned.
Mom wanted to say something but aunt Bella cut her off.
"No Melanie. It's my turn to help you now. You've always helped me since mom and dad left us.
She began to sob "Even when Albert blamed us for mom's death and Ryder believed as well. You didn't leave me Mel. You made me what I am today. I really can't leave you now "
"Who the f**k is Albert and Ryder? " I asked facing mom then aunt Bella.
Mom heaved a sigh "Albert and Ryder are our elder brothers. They left us when our parents died. They taught we'd killed them to inherit their property.
"Yes Mia. They took it and left us with nothing. Then we moved in with our paternal aunt in Virginia. Her husband moles..........."
Mom cut her off immediately "we then came to Nevada and started up a new life. Bella decided to work as a cashier in a supermarket in Palmers city so I asked her to move in with us permanently".

Something was fishy and it was quite obvious. Aunt Bella was about saying something about molestation or so. I'll carry out my own investigation.
Yes.
"Okay fine. I'm going to bed now
See you guys tomorrow".
I hugged mom then aunt Bella then went to my room and dozed off.
Today wasn't bad though.
