I glance at the clock as I get ready for another day at school, FairyTail High. Still having around 30 minutes until I have to leave, I decide to get a head start on my English project before school. Grabbing my favorite golden mechanical pencil I jot down some quotes from the novel "The Things they Carried" and took notes on articles about World War I. While reading a very interesting article about the Battle of Somme, my phone jerks violently and rings.
"Lev!" I cry.

"Well someone's chipper for a Monday morning" she laughs. "Are you leaving soon?"
I glance at the clock, still 10 minutes left. "In a bit. Why, need a ride? Do not tell me that you missed the bus again because you were reading that stupid book." I roll my eyes and chuckle.
"Hey! Don't insult Romeo and Juliet! It's actually really interesting. Who knows Lu, even you might find true love..." she retorts. I grin, grab my backpack and keys and start down the stairs.
"I'll take that as a yes? And there is no such thing as true love. You of all people should know that Lev." I warn.
"Ouch. Really hurts Lu. Here I thought you were the supportive best friend that wouldn't dare bring up my tortured past." she answers sarcastically. I can hear her laugh in the background as I pick up an Odwalla smoothie from the fridge and make my way outside to my car, making sure to lock the front door.
"Oh I wouldn't dare Lev. By the way do you know when Juvia is coming back from her trip to France?" I question. My thoughts drift to my friend Juvia. Although Levy and I had been friends ever since childhood, in middle school we became close to the new girl Juvia. Her parents were from Alaska but she moved here to live with her aunt, Ul. She recently had gone on the student exchange program trip to France, so we hadn't seen her in 3 months.
"Oh yeah! She should be back today! Oh my god, I can't wait to see her again. I wonder if she changed her hair again?" Lev giggles, breaking me out of my thoughts. I start the car and grin to myself.
"Knowing Juvia..."
"Definitely." we both finish at the same time. I smile and end the phone call as I drive up to the bus stop next to Levy's house. I wave and she waves back while running towards me. Getting in we chat about our classes and the upcoming day as we reach school.
