Chapter 16 - Congratulations!

As Yugyeom opened the door to his house, his father was stood infront of the door, with his arms crossed.
"Hi, father" Yugyeom said as he closed the door behind him.
"Do you know what this means?" his father spoke.

"What are you talking about?" Yugyeom asks his father.
"You agreed to Choi! What were you thinking?!" Mr.Kim shouts.

"His daughter's beautiful, and clever, and she's everything I've wanted in a girl, father" Yugyeom says.
Yugyeom's father scoffs, "Everything you've wanted in a girl... what you want in a girl is not good for you! Choi and his daughter are just as evil. They're just like Kim and his daughter, Hyuna! You can see the devil in their eyes, but not in Choi's and his daughter?" His father looked at him, disappointed.

"How do you know what's right for me? You always say mom will be happy but its not about mom, its about what would make you happy! Because mom isn't even alive to tell you what would make her happy!" Yugyeom raises his voice.

"Yeah, any one's mom would be proud of their son having a girlfriend and a fiance at the same time" his father sarcastically remarks, "Im disappointed to call you my son."

Mr.Kim then walked upstairs, and into his room, slamming the door shut, behind him.
Yugyeom had never seen his father in this much rage.

two months later
Rosè and Yugyeom had just come out the court, woth their parents, after registering their marrige.

"Yugyeom!" They heard someone call out. Yugyeom and Rosè turned to the direction where the voice was coming from. It was Manager Choi, and his daughter, Jisoo.

"Congratulations on your wedding" Choi shaked Yugyeom's hand and gave him a wink. He then looked at Rosè.

"So this is your wife?" he scanned Rosè from top to bottom.
"Neh, anyeongasayo" Rosè bowed down politely.
Manager Choi looked at her in disgust.

Mr.Kim, Yugyeom's father then approached Rosè.
"Can i just say how delighted i am to have you as my daughter in law" he tried cheering Rosè up.
"Kumaoh" Rosè smiled and looked down.

"Rosè!" someone then called out. She looked up to see her friend, Taeyeon.
Taeyeon then hugged her, "Congratulations!"
"Thanks" Rosß hugged her back.

"Yah Yugyeom, you're so cool. You chose the right girl!" Taeyeon compliments him.
"Aniyaa, he didn't choose me" Rosè looked down.

"Wait.. it was arranged?" Taeyeon asked.
Rosè and Yugyeom both nodded.
"Yah you best be nice to her. I'll be watching, no matter how far i am" Taeyeon glares at Yugyeom.

"Why do you care?" Yugyeom asks.
"Because she's like a sister to me. And i care about her a lot, unlike some people" Taeyeon gave a glance at Rosè's father and Hyuna.

"Yah, let's go. Everyone's waiting at home" Hyuna turned around and walked off to her father's car.
"Who's waiting at home?" Rosè asked.

"Family. They've come to say goodbye to you" Rosè's mothers says.
"You go with your in-laws. I'll get an uber to your house" Taeyeon says.
"There's no space in the car. Jisoo's coming with us" Yugyeom says to Taeyeon, "Take her with you."

Rosè watches as he drags Jisoo with him.
"Rosè, im really sorry. I-"
"Its okay, father-in-law" Rosè says, "It's fine honestly. I'll come with Taeyeon."

Rosè walked off. Taeyeon awkwardly bowed down before walking off with Rosè.

"What's wrong? Why did you let him take that witch with him? You should have pushed her out the way!" Taeyeon said.

"Gwenchana. We don't really like each other in that way so it's fine" Rosè smiles, assuring her friend that she's okay, "She's smart, and rich and is very pretty, unlike me."

"Yah, its not about the money or the way a person looks. It's about the personality. Trust me, Yugyeom will understand you more later" Taeyeon hugs her friend.

"Well get an uber then!" Rosè laughs..

Taeyeon and Rosè arrived to the house, just after the others. As Rosè walked out the car, she was suprised by party poppers and silly strings.

"Congratulations!" They all shouted.
Rosè's aunty then came to her and gave her a hug.
"Thankyou" Rosè smiled at them.
She then walked inside the house, to see Yugyeom's family gathered around.

They all looked at her weirdly.
"A-anyeonghasayo" Rosè bowed down politely.

"Omma, dont look at her like that. You'll scare her off" Mr.Kim (Yugyeom's father) said.

"So this is my grandaughter-in-law" Yugyeom's grandmother pushes her glasses down to the middle of her nose as she looks up at her.

"Well at least she's not like the past girls you've been with. Half of them used to come into the house dressed half naked!" Yugyeom's grandmother shouts.

"Haelmoni!" Yugyeom covers his face, to stop him from blushing.
"Wae? Am i not telling the truth?" His grandmother looked at him sternly, "You made a good choice for him, Kim."

"Of course i did. But Yugyeom doesn't think that" Yugyeom's father turns his eyes towards Yugyeom as he folds his arms, "Isn't that right?"

"Well of course, he's a little child. He doesn't know the difference between a girl and a women. He'll have to find out for himself after being with Rosè" Yugyeom's grandma says to him.

She then looked at Rosè. "Come here darling."
Rosè walked towards Haelmoni. She leans forward as Haelmoni whispers to her.

"I know you're going to be a very good wife. It's going to be hard with Yugyeom, because of the way he is but i know you can do it. I know you will always try and never stop. My son's told me a lot about you. But if my grandson crosses his limits, call me. I'll sort him out."

Rosè hugs Haelmoni, "Kumaoh. Its been really hard for me too, with the way I've been living. But thankyou so much" She hugs Haelmoni even tighter.

"Okay dont kill me" Haelmoni chuckled.
"Oh mianhe" Rosè chuckled as she moved back, away from Haelmoni to see everyone talking to one another, having a good time...
