Keith slipped his boots on quietly. It was early in the mourning and he needed to go back to the ocean. It was life and death at this point. After he laced up his boots he grabbed his mothers knife. It was a present before she died. He then opened his bedroom door slowly, making sure that his dad was asleep. He heard light snores so his father was sleeping like a baby. He sighed and turned back around to his window, which was already opened and had a rope securly tied tight to his bed. Keith looked back one more time, he took a deep breath, and gripped the rope tight. He then sat on the windowseal and jumped. He grabbed onto the rope which turned his knuckled as white as snow but he did not care. He only cared about saving the village. Keith landed, finally, on the ground. He let go of the rope and started to run towards the ocean. About now the sun was coming up and most of the wolves and bandits were probably hidden away in the mountains. Keith ran while still thinking about what to do about the many things that might happen that he ignored the things in the bushes.

Keith stared at the water as it hit against the shore. He stared and stared and waited for the boy to at least try and kill him. Keith sighed and plopped down on the sand. He then heard a small growl coming from behind him. Keith turned around quickly. Quickly enough that it actually hurt. Keith then met eyes of amber. He was faced by wolves. The one he was staring at had white fur and amber eyes that stared at you. The other wolves were regular colors, black, gray, and brown. Keith froze as the white wolf stared into his eyes. It then growled and jumped onto Keith. "GET OFF", Keith yelled. He then pulled out his knife and stabbed the wolf in the stomach. It cried out and feel to the ground, its own blood dancing on its stained white fur. Soon the other wolves started to attack Keith. All thirsting for his meat. Keith, who trained with knifes for half of his life, soon started his own attack on the heard of wolves. He soon almost slayed all of them, but only one got away. Keith then sunk to the floor, out of breath. "You are good with a knife....", Keith heard someone say. Keith sprung up from the ground to only hit heads with another person. "OW!", Keith snapped. Keith looked up and came face to face with the boy of the ocean. "Y-y-your the", "Yep, I am the monster or whatever and since you are here I feel somewhat obligated to drown your village in my ocean", the boy said with a grin. "WAIT! Is there anyway to stop you from, you know, killing us all!?!?!", Keith asked. The boy stared at him. "You can play me in a game of wits, I like games like that", the boy said. Keith stared at him. "A game of wits?", Keith asked. "Yes, a game of wits", the boy repeated in an annoyed tone. "If we play, and if I win, then will you not kill the village", Keith asked. "Maybe", the boy said with a grin, which for some strange reason made Keith blush. "So do you agree?", the boy asked. Keith nodded and the game began.

But, no one knew the true story about Ecnal and the small girl that was killed by him. In fact they were the best of friends. The small girl visited the ocean long before she was killed. She meet the boy and they soon began to talk and talk about the many things that happened in there days. The girl shared about her dad and how they would always make crowns out of the flowers that grew in there yard and Ecnal would share about how dolphins were way better then sharks because the sharks would always bully everyone else. But, the girl asked him to kill her. And the boy did, since he did not want to see her suffer anymore. He cried when she died, the boy cried a lot. His sadness then turned to anger, for he knew what the villagers had done to the girl. So the boy killed them all...even the kings army. After that he decided to go by another name. It was not Ecnal or the boy of the ocean. No... he decided on the name Lance.

"I won!", Keith exclaimed. The boy nodded. "You did good human", the boy simply said. He then winked and the game made of water disappeared. "Anyways, so you won't kill the village?", Keith asked. The boy glared. "I said maybe", the boy responded. Keith looked at the boy. "What else do I have to do?", Keith asked. The boy grinned. "You need to kill the leader of the bandits", the boy said. "WHAT!!??", Keith yelled. The boy laughed. "I am just kidding, besides there is no point in killing the people. Your stupid books got me all wrong", the boy said. Keith turned to the boy. "What do you mean our books got you wrong?", Keith asked. The boy suddenly glared at Keith. "First of all, my name is not Ecnal its Lance. Second of all, I did not want to kill the girl she asked me too. And third of all, the villagers deserved it because of how they treated her...", the boy, now with the name of Lance, spat at Keith. Keith stared at him. "How did they treat her?", Keith asked. The boy stared at him, then took a deep breath. "The first time I met her, she was running away from a group of the villagers kids. They were shouting many things and when the girl tripped and fell they started to beat her", Lance explained. Keith stared at him, wanting Lance to continue. "So I watched and once everyone else left her there I walked up to her and helped her. We became friends, but on the day she asked me to kill her, she said that she just did not want to deal with them anymore. So I helped her", Lance explained. Keith stared at him, wanting to do something. Before Lance could think about what Keith was going to do, Keith grabbed his shoulders and pulled him into a hug. "Lance...", "KEITH GET UP HERE", Pidge yelled. Keith turned to see Hunk, Pidge, and even Allura running down. Keith then turned back to find that Lance was now gone.

I hope that this book actually makes sense...
