Hermione's P.O.V

We got off the train eventually, and I immediately wished I was back home again.

The city was filled with people wearing outrageous suits and dresses with vibrant coloured hair and make up that looked like it weighed a hundred kilograms.

Gale stepped off after me and I saw him grimace at what was in front of us.

"Gale, I'm scared. These people are here to watch us kill people or die trying to survive!"

I realised I was starting to tear up,  and he looked down at my face and reached for my hand.

I let him hold my hand as we made our way behind Effie. I didn't know where I was going, but I didn't like it already.

Finally, we walked into a large building, with high walls and marble floors. Effie turned to us then and said,"you will enter the Arena on the 2nd of September, in a weeks time. For now, you will begin training!"

Effie left us standing there for a while, in shock, until we decided to head up to our rooms.

Harry's P.O.V

We finally arrived at the Weasley's, and as soon as emerged from the Floo, I was enveloped in a bone-crushing hug from Mrs. Weasley. I greeted everyone present and sat down next to Ron on the sofa in front of the fire.

I was too busy thinking about Hermione and the Games to eat when we were called for dinner. The family looked at me oddly when I just stared at my food, and when asked what was wrong, I felt tears emerge.

"Well, you know how Hermione never mentioned where she lived and where she was from?" They all nodded.

"Well, she lives in a place called Panem, and in Panem, there are Districts. Hermione lives in District 12. It's a horrible place to live she told me," my voice broke then, and a few tears fell down my cheeks. Mrs Weasley patted my back.

"Well, if that's the probem, she's very welcome to just stay here for the rest of summer if she likes,"

"No, that's not it. You see, every summer, there's this thing called the Hunger Games. When you turn twelve, you have to put your name in fir a reaping every year until you're eighteen. There are twelve Districts, and each district has two tributes. A boy and a girl. The tributes fight to the death in an Arena, and it gets televised across each District. Only one tribute can win, and they earn money and fame."

I noticed Percy looked extremely pale now, and I had an idea that he knew where I was going with this.

"You see, Hermione's best friend, Katniss, got reaped as the female tribute in her District. H-hermione volunteered to take her place, and now she's in the games!"

I felt more tears run down my face as there was a collective gasp all around me. Mrs Weasley burst out crying next to me and she hugged me tighter.

"Is there any way to see her before the arena?" Percy asked.

"No, she's in the middle lf training now. The Games start on the second of September,"

"Oh dear, let's hope she survives then," I heard Mrs Weasley say.

I couldn't help but agree...
