Herobrine's POV

I'm out fishing, Daedra with me. She'll occasionally jump into the water after a fish, but mostly stays with me.

I toss a fish for Daedra to catch. She jumps up, catching it in her mouth before tearing it apart. As she eats, she purrs. I pet her, chuckling.

"You want to be outside at night tonight?" I ask. Before now, I wouldn't let her out at night. After all, I was worried a skeleton might shoot her! Now, however, I don't mind. Being ruler of hostile mobs has its benefits, I warned them that if any of them hurt me or my friends, I'd let Abraxas decide their fate. He can get... creative from what I've seen.

She starts jumping around, forgetting about the fish altogether. I chuckle as she jumps into my lap, looking up at me with excitement in those big, bright eyes of hers.

"Ok girl." I chuckle. "Finish eating, you can be outside tonight, but you'll need to stay close to me." She jumps from my lap and goes back to eating, the excitement in her eyes making me smile as I prepare to cast my line out again.

Suddenly Daedra begins growling, looking ready to fight. Her large, round pupils change to narrow slits, an occasional hiss making its way out every so often.

"What is it, girl?" I ask, getting up and putting my fishing rod away. I summon a sword, following Daedra's gaze. Nothing, she's just looking into the forest. I begin to feel uneasy.

"Go inside, girl." I instruct. "If I'm not back in half an hour, you know where to go." She looks up at me, hesitating to leave. "I'll be fine, ok? Just go." She hesitantly heads toward our place. As soon as she gets inside, I head toward the forest.

"Hello?" I call out as I walk through the trees and tall grass.

"Hello." A voice says from my left, causing me to whirl in their direction. I don't see him right away because he blends in with the grass and leaves. He looks just like Steve, but... all different shades of green. I remember not only the others mentioning a Green Steve, but him teleporting to me just before I was attacked.

Before I can react, he stabs his sword into my stomach. I stumble back in shock, then pull it out and summon a potion of healing. I quickly splash it at my feet, then slice back at him. He jumps out of the way, then disappears.

I look around, then realize how hard it will be to spot him in the forest. After all, he's green, just like the leaves, and the grass, and pretty much everything here. Realizing this, I begin to back my way out of the forest, not wanting to allow him that advantage. I continue looking around, not daring to turn my back to the forest. Just in case.

As I back up, I hear footsteps behind me as well as clicking. I look, finding a fire quickly beginning to spread through the trees and such. I'm about to teleport, but then I notice him in front of me, about four blocks away. He pulls out a bow and arrow, then shoots. The arrow hits me in the chest and sends me backwards, right into the fire. A scream forces itself from my throat as the pain rushes over me. Through the fire, I see him smile widely, then disappear.

For a second, I can only focus on the pain and getting out of the fire. I try to push my way through the burning trees and plants, panicking. Once I make it out, I manage to put the flames still on my clothes and body out. As I do, the adrenaline from my panic begins to wear off, and I begin to feel burning in my lungs. I must have breathed in smoke or something.

I want to collapse, just let myself lose conciousness, but I can't. If I do, I could die. If my injuries don't kill me, Green Steve might. There’s only one place I can go where I can be sure he won't follow. The Nether. Lick told me, he can't go to the Nether. Right now, I'm putting all my faith into him. If he's wrong, I might die.

I teleport, and my mind can barely processes the dark soul sand and bright lava before everything goes dark.

Abraxas's POV

I'm on my way to check on a group of pigmen that haven't been responding to any of the letters I've sent. I just want to make sure that no players have hurt them.

As I'm flying my way there, I see what seems to be a player. However, they're laying face-down in an area made of soul-sand. Not a player behavior. I decide to look into it, landing in the soul sand near them. As I land, I notice they look badly burned. Chocolate brown hair, tan skin, and they wear a bright blue T-shirt with blue jeans and gray miner's shoes. This could be Steve or Herobrine. If it's Steve, I won't  bother with him. He's good at killing mobs, not someone I'm gonna bring near other mobs.

I cautiously approach. There’s only one way to be sure. I carefully open his eye, being met with pure, glowing white eyes. I let go. It's Herobrine. I'm about to pick him up when a thought pops into my head.

If he dies, you become ruler of hostile mobs again.
