Planning

Alden was just watching a video on his laptop when Iligah knocked on his door.

"It's Iligah." She said, waiting outside for a reply before going inside.

"Come in," Alden said.

Alden and Iligah are they kind of siblings that help each other in their schemes. Sure, they may fight sometimes but they're mostly partners in crime.

Iligah went into his room and sat up on his bed. She was holding her phone, a paper, and a pen.

"What's up?" He said, now scrolling through a blog post

"So, I overheard mum talking on the phone." Iligah started. "And there's going to be a business meeting with the Asuncions on Wednesday night."

Alden turned to Iligah when he heard the news.

"Really?" Alden said.

"Yeah," Iligah said, nodding her head.

"You're kidding," Alden said, just in case it was a prank. He had another reason to meet his secret boyfriend.

"If I was kidding I wouldn't be holding something to write on for our plan," Iligah said, showing the materials she had in her hand.

Alden got off his laptop and propped a hardcover school book on the bed near Iligah and sat by her.

"You have a plan?" Alden asked.

"I do but it's not done," Iligah said. "Although, while you and your boyfriend were sneaking off in the building while mum was in the conference room. I had the chance to go to other places that only we could actually access like I don't know, the files room."

"What? You went to the files room?" Alden said. "But didn't mum say to not go there?" 

"Yeah, didn't she also say not to be associated with an Asuncion?" Iligah retorted.

Alden snorted. "You got me there." 

"Anyways, so I found a few things before time was up and it turns out, no matter how much mum likes it or not, she has to put up with the Asuncions for a really long time. If she retires and you get the job, you'll have to work with the heir of the Asuncions. Anddd-" Iligah explained, going over to Alden's closet and getting a tuxedo. "There's another gala but this time, it's with the Asuncions."

Alden had to process. "How come mum hates them if we have a lot of work to do with them?"

"I don't know to be honest." Iligah putting the tuxedo back where it was placed and going back over to the bed.

"Okay, back to the plan. How are we gonna do it?" Alden asked.

"Oh yeah!" Iligah brought out her phone from her pocket. "The business meeting won't be in our building, it's in Kayse's business building and since she's a great best friend, she sent me all kinds of rooms that were in the building, the map of the building, where the meeting will be held and all of the easy access just to make sure you won't get caught." 

Alden was baffled.

"Same," Iligah said. "So anyway, the places where you will most likely get caught in the break room, file room, toilet, kitchen, phone room, and the recording room and of course, the conference rooms."

"You'll be managing the recording room?" Alden asked.

"Yep, I got access that mum doesn't know about," Iligah said.

"Can the earpieces get connected?" Alden asked again.

"Yeah, for sure. Wanna test it?" Iligah asked.

"Yeah, go get yours while I do the same and text Vince," The two got off the bed, Iligah went back to her room while Alden got his earpiece through the secret compartment on his desk that he made. After he got it, he texted Vince about their upcoming plans. Iligah came back whilst he was texting him.

"Okay. So according to the map, we could be really far, so I have to go near the kitchen and you have to go in your closet." Iligah paused. "No pun intended, make sure you close the closet and go to the farthest area from the kitchen." 

"Alright." The two put their earpieces on. Iligah went out of the room and went down near the kitchen while Alden went in his walk-in closet.

"I'm craving for something, what should I eat? Oooo, they're cooking. Hello!" Alden heard Iligah greet the people in the kitchen.

"Can you get the cookies for me please?" He asked.

"Sure, wait." Alden then heard shuffling of plastic and the cupboard shutting.

"I'll be right up," Iligah whispered.

Alden got out of the closet after Iligah opened the bedroom door. They removed their earpiece and ate their snacks while planning. Although texting Vince while eating was hard so they just video chatted with earphones during the whole planning session.

A nanny knocked on the door. "Dinner is ready in 15 minutes."

"Ok." They both replied through the door.

They continued the planning for 10 minutes before cleaning up their snacks. When they were done, they went down for dinner.

They sat down at the dinner table, waiting for their mother to join them. The food was brought to the dinner table when Ailee walked into the room, she sat down and they began to eat.

"So, how's your day?" Ailee asked her children after taking a sip of her water.

"Iligah and I have been working on some stories and art," Alden said.

"How about you, mum? Did you have a good day?" Iligah asked.

"It was a decent day naman, although we have a business meeting on Wednesday, do you want to come with? It's in Kayse's building." Ailee asked.

"Yeah, sure!" Iligah said. "We can work on other projects too! Right, Alden?" 

"Yeah, it's gonna be fun," Alden said.
