    (Y/N’s POV)

It was just another plane ride, a normal ride. I was sitting next to a young man, actually around my age. He had shoulder length, silky, chocolate brown hair and deep brown eyes. His eyes looked so passionate as he wrote in a notebook. I  glanced out the window at the clear blue sky and saw dark grey smoke causing me to gasp and freak out a bit. Then there was an announcement about turbulence and it suddenly cut off as we began to descend at an angel. I began to hyperventilate and then pass out.

I wake up, my head is reeling and I hurt everywhere. I slowly sit up, wincing in pain as I look around. All I saw was a white sand beach, littered with debris, I didn’t see anyone else around. I slowly go to get up and almost scream when I get to my feet, quickly falling to the ground. I look down to my legs and see that one of my ankles are swollen and purple. There is no way I am walking. I looked around now worried about what to do. I was alone on a beach, after a plane crash, oh dear god I’m gonna die here. That’s when I heard rustling from behind me, I turn back and peered into the thick brush of forest behind me. I saw the mass of green sway, it was getting closer. I began to back away. I knew if I can’t run there’s no way I could get away, at least without a head start that is.

I saw a silhouette and I began to calm a bit, it was of a person. Though, I was still worried that I could be in danger till I saw the man I was sitting next to on the plane emerge from the brush. My panic was gone as he looked at me, with a small hopeful smile. There was a worried glint in his eyes but it was a smile nonetheless.

“I’m glad to see you’re up”  he says as he comes closer and squats down to my level as he puts down the wood that was in his arms, “I was worried you were dead, like the others… I’m happy to see you’re okay.” he moved some hair out of his face and stands back up, offering me a hand. I sadly decline.

“Well, for the most part I am… I think my ankle maybe sprained or fractured, so sadly I will have to decline getting up. Thank you though sir.” I say with a little smile but I see he becomes increasingly worried but he still smiles a bit at me.

“Oh… I’m so sorry I didn’t notice that, I’ll look for something to help with that in the wreckage. I moved you away from it, there was a lot of… carnage. I didn’t think you’d want to wake up to that. Oh and you don’t need to be formal with me, just call me Alex, or Alexander if you’d like.” He said with a small nervous smile as he began to pick up the wood he dropped a little too far from me to help. I looked up at him, wishing I could help.

“Yeaaah you’re right I rather not see that, so thank you… and I just didn’t know your name till right now so I had to use sir Alex and my name is (Y/N). I’m glad to have someone so calm here with me. I have no clue how I’d handle this if I had someone panicky or I was alone… I probably would die.” I say to him in response as he put the wood closer to me, a small chuckle escaping his lips. I looked at him slightly confused.

“I forgot, I’m sorry. I thought we talked on the plane… but thank you for staying calm as well. I was expecting a scream or something when you woke up. I’m glad I didn’t hear that, because I’m pretty sure there are animals on this island.”  he said as he started to build a structure for a bonfire. He gestured in a friendly way for me to help and I smile as I began to help, but then a thought came to mind.

“Alex…” he looked over at me, “how long have I been out?” I say a bit hesitant, unsure if I truly wanted to know. What if I’ve been out for a few days?

“I’d probably say a few hours… I know I walked around the island in the time you were out… it’s not a large island but it has a pretty thick rainforest in the middle as you can see” he gestures to the rainforest behind us as he turns back to me. “And I got to explore in it… not too much though because I needed firewood. That’s the best way to get a signal out to anyone that fly over head or sail by. Also if we have to cook anything we’ll need a fire, and from what I saw in the wreckage we may be the only ones left.” he looked down, clearly upset that no one else survived, but he continued to work on the bonfire.

“Oh… well at least we’re working on getting rescued… and now you’re not alone so you won’t go crazy right?  No need for Wilson quite yet, right?” I say with a small smile, hoping to cheer him up a bit. I hear him give a little chuckle before looking at me, his eyes were hopeful.

“You’re right there… so why were you on your way to Paris?” he asked, probably to try to take our minds off of what happened.

“Well, I’m a novel writer, my next book was going to take place in Paris… it’d follow the story of a woman searching for the man who killed her daughter. I know it sounds cliche but I can’t tell you what else happens quite yet because it’d give away a huge twist so sadly you’ll have to wait till we’re off the island and I write it.” I say with a slightly teasing tone. He sighs a bit.

“Damn, I was really hoping to hear more about the story… I’ll have to read it as soon as I can. Do you have any other novels out?” he asked, he genuinely looked interested. I guess he likes to read. I smile at him.

“Of course, I have one that’s a bit on the childish side but it’s not for little kids. I guess it’s best suited for tweens and teens. That one is about a princess that stuck in a story loop, like after happily ever after the story repeats and that’s how it is till you break the loop. She has yet to break it but all of her friends have and they found their true loves by doing that, So she restarts her loop and instead of kissing her prince she explains how she loves him but she needs to break her loop. Then he goes to respond and gets hit by a carriage and that’s where her true story begins.”  (sooo these are real story ideas I have because I hope to become an author one day, I’d love to know what you guys think!) I say hoping he’d like the story idea. He smiles widely at me.

“That’s an amazing story idea (Y/N)! I need to read it as soon as I can.”  I smile widely when I hear that I’m so glad that I met someone who’d love to read my novels. Most of the time people are too busy to read them or listen to them.

“I’m so glad.. Oh! I just spent so much time talking and I never asked you why you were going to Paris. So um… why were you heading to Paris?” I ask, now genuinely intrigued by why he may have been going.

“Well I was going to visit a close friend, not as cool as why you were going of course.” He says with a little chuckle.

“Of course it is! You were going to see a friend that I presume you haven’t seen in a long time that’s always important.” I say with a reassuring smile. He nods a bit and smiles.

“I guess you’re right, but we should probably get back to work on the fire.” he responds.

“Oh crap sorry…” I said as I got back to work.

(third person pov)

The two, Alex and (Y/N) had begun what they did realize would be a beautiful friendship and so much more as they worked together to survive for months together. They were scared and worried but at least they had each other. They worked to stay safe, and stay alive. They made a bond on that island. One that no one could break. They saved each other.

(A/N: hello my guys, I'm sorry I took forever to update this.... But thank you for hanging in there, I plan on doing an update chapter in one of my other books the Lafayette X reader (amazing title, I know) so yeah I really hope you enjoyed this story!)
