Summary:
Brian Littrell and Brooke Davis were childhood friends and sweethearts. They had planned their whole lives out together and were engaged to be married. However, after Brian left to join one of the biggest boybands in the world, Brooke was left behind to find a path to her own dreams without them. After the loss of a beloved teacher and neighbor brings them home to Kentucky, they are forced to face each other again and consider if their love is gone forever.

Permanent Stain is a one-shot fan fiction/song-fic story about Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys and Brooke Davis from One Tree Hill that was inspired by my dear friend Nina (xoxSweetHeartxx on Twitter) and is based on the Backstreet Boys' song Permanent Stain. The time frame of this story is ambiguous and not particular to a certain timeline or place in history. In this story, Brian and Brooke grew up together and Brooke is from Kentucky (not Tree Hill as in the One Tree Hill television series).
