Tyler's P.O.V
It's weekend already thank goodness. I really wanted this week to get off my mind and worries. I actually miss my family I mean my mom and Brittany. Mom called once but I felt reluctant to call back. I wonder when I'll see them again. It's nice staying here with Derrick but I guess I'm going home soon. It isn't bad being home alone it's just quite boring but Tyler always scale through.

I remove my clothes and get into the shower. The water feels cool and all. Derrick and I are planning to throw a party at my house. It's really gonna be fun because b*****s are always present
To fuck with.
I know you may think I'm arrogant and bad and nasty and blah blah blah. Trust me,I'm not if you get to know me. I've never being loved at all. Since the day my mom got married to that bastard she never paid any attention to me. All she cared about was her reputation and husband
My foot.
I put on my clothes and spray a little. I smell nice often so I really don't need much of anti pespirant.
"You ready?" Derrick ask ed examining the room "You're tidy "
I chuckled "of course. I'm not like you you know "
"I'll see you soon T " Derrick said and closed the door behind him.
Derrick's house is actually a nice one. His parents really have a good taste. He lives alone. All his siblings are married. His parents work at different places. It's quite hard for him but he's strong.
I learnt that from him. He's actually a nice friend but can be so f*****g annoying at times.
You're curious about where we're heading to. Well,we're going to the mall to get some party stuffs
"Tyler let's get going" Derrick said.
"I've got your back" I replied shutting the door.

Mia's P.O.V
"Mia?" Aunt Bella called "I wanna talk to you"
I nodded and sat upright on my bed. "I'm all ears"
"Look Mia your mom and I want you to quit this job. It's not easy and you miss school thrice a week" She said like she had been wanting to tell me earlier
I sighed "I just want us to have enough finance. I really want to go to college that's why I'm investing now"
"I understand you baby girl. By then trust me there would be enough for you to go to college"
"No aunt " I persisted "it's my life. I'll endure "
"Mia just listen to Bella" mom said from nowhere. "I'll make sure you go to college, trust me"
"I do trust you guys. I don't just want any heart breaks" I replied not giving up "mom look I'll be eighteen next month. I have to plan my life in case of any ugly incident" I said in a very shaky voice. Tears formed in my eyes. I held back strongly.
"Ugly incident?" Aunt Bella asked. She looked curious and left out "what's this ugly incident all about?"
Mom bent her head "Cecil has blood cancer and he has a couple of weeks to live"
A tear fell from my eyes and mom began to weep. We're gonna live on the streets.
Aunt Bella had her eyes widen in shock "blood cancer? "
I couldn't bear the pain any longer. I stood up and ran outside. I didn't even know where I was heading to I just kept on running and crying like a crushed baby
"Mia. .....where are you going?" Aunt Bella screamed "come back!"
I ignored her and kept on running till my eyes became blurry. I wished I could die and never see the world again.
*Flashback*
I was eavesdropping on mom and dad's conversation. I'd heard mom calling my name repeatedly. I actually wondered why.
Mom yelled at dad "I'm tired of hearing this from you every single day! I know Mia isn't your daughter and it's not my fault in any way.  My aunt's husband raped me that very night "
"I'm aware. It just hurts me when she calls me dad "
My head began to spin. I refused to believe my ears. I cried secretly but no one ever knew
It's my cross, I'll carry it forever.

*end of flashback*
Just then, I felt weak and fell on the road when I remembered my dad isn't my dad. Just then,a car knocked me down and drove off. Nobody was there when the incident occurred.
"Somebody help. ......" I gasped

*black out*

Tyler's P.O.V
I sat beside Mia at the hospital. Derrick and I had found her lying unconsciously at the side of the road  and she had blood oozing excessively from her head. She looked fatigued and pale. It's high time I know what's wrong with her.
"WHERE AM I?" Mia asked curiously holding her head "it hurts. Please Tyler what am I doing here? "
I held her hand. It was very cold "you were unconscious. What's wrong with you? "
Just then,the door opened. It was her mom and aunt
Her mom began to weep "Mia dear how did you get injured? Where did you go?I was extremely worried about you "
"Never mind about me" she said holding my hands tightly "I'm fine"
That was abnormal.
"Okay. Please don't do this next time I beg of you sweetheart" her mom said kissing the back of her palms.
A mother's love. I can never experience that again. I wish I could.
"I'll be fine. I guess I'm sleepy " she yawned
"We'll come see you later. Bella  and I have to take care of some things. I'm sure you're mature now"
She rolled her eyes "the both of you can leave. Afterall you don't really care about me "
"Don't say such Mia" her aunt said out of the blue "we care so much for you it's just that your dad isn't feeling too good "
"Fine" Mia snapped back "it's okay"
They left and shut the door behind them.
She slept off in no time. She still looked very gorgeous in her condition.
