Jellybean POV
Jughead had calmed me down, he was good at doing that. I had gotten ready to go. Seth's house was in walking distance, only ten minutes away. Right now, it was about 4:45 and he was expecting me at 5:00. "Excited?" Jughead asked, coming into my room. I shrugged. "Yeah." I was still nervous about the movie and making a fool of myself.

"Text me when you're done and I'll come get you." He said. "Kay." I could walk home just fine, but he didn't want me to be alone in the dark. "I should probably get going." I suggested. "Yeah, be careful on the road." Jughead told me. "Yes sir." I said saluting, because trust me, I know road safety. I grabbed my bag and walked out the door after saying bye to my brother.

I walked down the road. Correction: I walked down the road carefully. I had already figured out the route to Seth's house beforehand so I wouldn't look like an idiot who got lost in the woods. Okay that's an over exaggeration but you know what I mean. I made it to his house in eleven minutes flat. One of them was spent debating if I should even go.

I knocked on the door. Seth answered. "Hey." I said shyly. "Hey!" He greeted enthusiastically. "You can meet my parents, they're just about to leave for dinner. "Mum, Dad, this is Jellybean." He told them as they entered the foyer. "Hi." I said brightly. I shook their hands. Seth's Mum smiled at me. "We were just going, you two have a great time!" Said his Dad.

Seth bid them goodbye. "So, I've got pillows set up downstairs- wait! What's the matter?" He asked, noticing I was twirling my hair. It was a bad habit I did when I was anxious. "Oh nothing! It's just- well, how do I put this? I've never watched a horror movie before, like ever." He laughed lightly. "We don't have to watch it! We can just hang out." He smiled.

"Are you sure Seth? We can totally watch it." I looked at him gratefully. "Of course! You know, I asked both of you to come, but I was kinda hoping that it would just be you that said yes." I blushed. "I was also pretty happy to just get to be alone with you. No shade or anything to Rosie though." I added. We looked at each other and laughed and I knew this was going to be a great night.

Jughead POV
I had decided not to phone Betty and just hope she would be at school tomorrow. Dad got home at about 5:30. "How'd it go?" I asked him as he sat down on the couch. "Fine." He answered and gave me a sad smile. "Where's your sister?" He questioned, looking around. "Oh, she went to Seth's house." I answered. He knew that we were not fans of Halloween. "Um, who's that?" He asked. "Her friend boy." I said. He nodded.

"So she does have friends? She didn't really get a chance to tell me about school." Dad had been meaning to talk to Jellybean, but he didn't have time. "Yeah she's friends with Seth and her old best friend Rosie." I told him. He looked down. "Rosie?" He asked, looking guilty. "Oh, yeah you probably never met her. She's great, I'm glad Jellybean has her." I said quietly. We sat there for a while in awkward silence. "I have homework I should probably get done." I said and escaped to my room.

Jellybean POV
Seth and I had went downstairs. We had talked for a while upstairs before coming down. There was a large TV and a massive amount of pillows on the ground. "Wow." I said in awe. "Are you up for a few rounds of Mario Kart?" He asked smiling. "Oh yeah!" I answered. We started the game. I totally crushed him in the first round, but then he beat me in the second and we tied in the third.

"I love that game." Seth said as we shut it down. "Me too." I replied, laughing and smiling. By now it was about 6:00. "I've got an idea." I said, as we sat back down on the pillows. "You wouldn't happen to have Scattergories, would you?" I loved that game and I was pretty good at it. "Of course I do! You're on!"

We went upstairs and set up at the dining room table. I'm not going to lie, some of the answers were pretty out there, but in the end Seth won by two points. "If you don't like horror movies, what is you're favourite movie?" He asked me. I blushed. "The Breakfast Club." I answered immediately. "What about you?"

Seth smiled brightly. "The Breakfast Club." He said nodding. "No way!" I exclaimed. "I've never met a guy who likes it! Then again I don't talk to that many people, but whatever." He laughed. "Wanna watch it?" He asked. "Definitely!" I answered. We went back downstairs and turned it on. We finished it at about 8:45 and then spent twenty minutes discussing it.

Currently, we were talking about who was the most relatable. "I feel like I relate to them all. Except maybe Claire, but I can see where she comes from." Seth told me, I nodded. "I feel like I'm a mix of Allison and Bender, but they're way cooler than me." I said smiling. "Oh shoot, what time is it?" I asked realizing that it was getting late. "9:05." Seth answered.

"I should probably phone my brother to come get me now, but I would love to stay longer." I said. "I've had such a great time with you tonight and I really hope we can do this again sometime!" I added. "Me too! I'm so, so glad you could come!" Seth responded. I smiled and dialled Jughead's number.

"Ready?" He asked. "Yup." I answered. "See you in a few minutes." He added. "Kay bye." I hung up. He got here much sooner than I would've liked. We answered the door. "Thanks for having me Seth." I said. "Anytime Jellybean, thanks for coming." He responded. "Bye." He added. I waved. Jughead had walked here and we were going to walk back.

"So?" He asked. "Was it as truly terrifying as you thought?" He smiled at me. I smiled back. "We didn't end up watching it. We just hung out." I answered, twirling my hair, I made myself stop though. "Oh, that's nice." Jughead said. "Did you have a good time?" I nodded. "Yeah it was really fun." "I'm glad." I was happy to be walking home with my brother and even happier that I had just had a fantastic time with Seth Hill.

Jughead POV
My little sister was smiling non-stop and it was adorable. She must've had a really great time. I knew I wasn't going to tell her about that damned call tonight, maybe on Monday though. "Hi guys!" Dad said as we entered the house. Jellybean hugged him and he kissed the top of her head. "How was your time?" He asked as she sat on the couch.

"Really fun! I'm glad I went." She answered. "It's about time for you to get ready for bed, I want to talk to your brother." He added. She nodded and went to her room. I had already told my Dad about the phone call. "I don't want you to tell her until it seems like a good time, alright?" He said sternly. "Okay, got it." I said quickly. I knew this whole thing would work out in the end, but it sure didn't seem that way.
