Arielle was thinking of how awkward things were. Her, Chad, and Andrew were on their way to Chad's to drop off their bags. Chad was carrying Arielle's bags even though she said she coud do it herself. She had tried to take them from him but instead he told her no and started walking. She hated having other people do things she could easily do herself.  Arielle had sighed but gave up. That boy could be so stubborn sometimes. She turned her head to the right to look at Chad now. His lips were in a thin line, his blue eyes seemed cold, distant. Chad's eyebrows were furrowed. To put it simply, Chad was pissed. He hadn't spoken a word to her since he took her bags. He looked to the side and caught Arielle staring. He raised one eyebrow. Arielle quickly looked towards her feet. She moved her hair to cover her face because she felt herself blushing.  She looked at Chad out of the the corner of her eye and saw him smirking looking straight ahead. He obviously caught her blush.

Damn, stupid Chaf, making me blush.

Arielle pursed her lips. Arielle called Chad Chaf when she was mad at him. She looked to her left to see Andrew carrying his bags with a huge smile on his face. He was looking at the campus like a  little kid when they first visit the candy store. In Arielle's opinion the school campus wasn't much. Yet again it was his first time seeing it. Arielle looked around and noticed that the campus was beautiful. The light poured in from the trees just perfectly. Many animals and bugs were going about their day. The campus just seemed full of life. She now understood Andrew's enthusiasm. He caught Arielle's stare and shot her a goofy grin. She smiled widely. Arielle heard Chad exhale loudly. She then smiled at Chad. He looked confused for a bit then smiled at her. A small grin but Arielle knew things were fine between them them. The awkward tension had disappeared without them realizing it. Chad still didn't like Andrew but he disliked him a bit less since he could make Arielle smile.

When the trio arrived at Chad's room, he unlocked the door and ushered them inside. Arielle and Andrew dropped their stuff next to the couch. Once they had money for the movies, they were off.

Ten minutes later they arrived at the theater.

"WE SHOULD WATCH TRANSFORMERS!"

"BUT CHAD. I WANNA WATCH EARTH TO ECHO!!"

"WELL TOO BAD! WE ARE WATCHING TRANSFORMERS."

The boys were in each other faces. It looked like they wanted to kill each other. Arielle had to stop this before she lost two of her closest friends to extreme blood loss or mangled body parts.

Arielle whistled and clapped her hands twice. She pushed her way between the two. She stood like a ref between two football players. It was a coincidence both boys were football players.

"Okay since you two are fighting like baboons and can't pick a movie rationally like sane people, I'm picking. I decided we are watching How to Train Your Dragon 2."

Chad didn't want to fight with Arielle, so he agreed. Andrew wanted to see that movie also, so he was pleased. Arielle walked up to ticket stand.

"Three tickets to How to Train Your Dragon 2 at 10:15, please."

Arielle paid the tickets. The boys handed her money for the tickets. They walked inside and some worker tore the bottom off.

"Okay we should go get our seats." Arielle started walking to the theater.

"Um I'm gonna go to the restroom. Meet you there."

Chad walked to the restroom leaving the two. Arielle just shrugged and went to find seats. Andrew followed close behind like a puppy.

The movie had started already, so they missed about five minutes. Chad came in a bit but not empty handed. He came back with a medium popcorn and two large drinks. He handed one drink and the popcorn to Andrew. He sat down and placed the last drink in the cup holder between him and Arielle.

Arielle raised an eyebrow.  Chad just encouraged her to drink. Arielle took a sip.Dr.pepper.

Her favorite. She took a long drink. Chad knew just about everything about her. That was saying something too. She didn't like to share many things about herself with other people. Chad just got five points in Arielle's book.

When Hiccup's dad died, Chad heard Arielle sniffle. He looked at her intense frowning, and gently brought her head to his shoulder. Andrew saw this and felt some weird emotion..... almost as if someone has squeezed his heart. He had read about it this feeling before in many books. It was usually jealously.  He wasn't jealous of Chad. Was he? No, no, that's ridiculous. He quickly forgot the crazy idea and watched the movie. After, they walked out talking about the movie.

"It was a pretty good movie. Don't you think Arielle?"

"Yeah it was good, Drew. I hate how they killed off his dad."

"Well since it's barely noon, let's go get frozen yogurt."

"'Kay. Sounds like a plan Chad."

They walked into the store and quickly got the yogurt. After paying, they sat down at a table outside. Arielle sat next to Chad with Andrew across from them. They ate their yogurt in silence, each lost in their thoughts. The silence was broken when Chad's phone buzzed. He looked at the screen.

"Hey guys Cam said it's okay to go to Arielle's dorm now. You can leave your stuff there."

"Lovely! I've been dying to go to my dorm. Let's hurry children."

Arielle quickly threw away their empty cups. She ushered the boys out, and began to wizard of oz skip back. She claimed it was fun.

They arrived back at the campus. They went to Chad's dorm and picked up their luggage. At precisely 1 o'clock Arielle opened the door to her dorm.

"SURPRISE!!!" A whole bunch of Arielle's closest friends popped out from behind the furniture.

Arielle dropped her bags. Her mouth was open. Chad closed her mouth.

"Well? Aren't you gonna enjoy your party?"

Arielle nodded vigorously and walked over to her tennis friends.
