Chapter One

01 - Wait

A ray of sunlight flashed my closed eyes that made me woke up. I stood up and did my morning rituals.

I'm fixing my things when I was interrupted by a soft knock on the door. I went towards the door and opened it and saw mommy was standing outside my room.

"Zoey, hurry up. Blaze is already downstairs." Mommy Cassy informed me.

"Yes, Mom. I'll be down after." I replied.

I got my bag, and I'm ready to go. I went down, and there he was. My Jax. He's very dashing, and I can't help myself from falling.... hard.

He's currently talking to my older brothers, Kuya Zavi and Kuya Zach. They were also laughing about something as I approached them.

Jax immediately stood up when he saw me. He advanced towards me and gave me a warm hug. I smiled as I felt him kiss my hair.

"Good morning, Cali."

Cali. He's the only one who calls me that. And me, I prefer to call him Jax instead of Blaze, like everybody, used to call him.

"Good morning too, Jax."

We smiled at each other, then my two brothers, as usual, disturbed us. Well, it's just Kuya Zach because Kuya Zavi, was just intently looking at us.

"Zoey, you're too slow to move. You're always let Blaze wait. If he gets impatient, he'll leave you." Biro ni Kuya Zach.

I glared at him, and he just laughed at me. Kuya Zach is three years older than me. While Kuya Zavi is six years older than me. Kuya Zach and Blaze are friends, and they are varsities for our basketball team.

"Let's go," Jax uttered, laced with tenderness.

I looked at him, and my eyes softened. He can really change my mood quickly. I smiled at him and nodded.

He held my hand, and we went outside. He opened his car, and I sat on the passenger seat. He closed it and went on the other side.

I am thinking about when I will say yes to him. I am also wondering how I will tell him that I am saying yes to have a relationship with him.

He's courting me for one long year now, and I admire his loyalty and patience. Every time we were together, I felt his overflowing love for me.

All the day with him was pure bliss and happiness. That's why I want to say yes and be his girlfriend. I want to discover new things with him as my boyfriend.

I woke up with my reverie when he kissed my cheek. I looked at him and saw him staring at me full of love.

I am thrilled because I know and feel that he is so in love with him as much as I am with him.

"What's wrong, Cali?" He said, full of love while holding my hand.

I stared at his handsome face. He had striking chiseled facial features; a strong jaw, well-sculpted nose, thin lips, and eyes with a shade of light brown. His hair was a little messed up, and he looked hot.

One year had passed since I first saw him, but he is still the most handsome man I ever laid my eyes on. He looks manlier now, with this broader shoulders and his baritone voice. I can't take my eyes off of him.

I heard a cough and looked him in the eyes. Naramdaman ko naman ang pagpula ng mukha ko dahil doon. He caught me checking him out! He chuckled, and he drew his face closer to mine.

I can feel his mint breath against my face, and I'm too embarrassed to look at him, but I did.

I met his eyes, and burning passion and love are visible in his eyes. He looked at me from my eyes down to my lips. My heart beats faster that made me closed my eyes and waited for his kiss, but it didn't happen.
