Since the day they got married,
He'd been praying for a little baby boy.
Someone he could take fishing,
Throw the football and be his pride and joy.

"So now that you're a married man, what do you want next?"

Lucas took Maya's hands and kissed them. "I want you. Forever. And I really want a son."

Maya chuckled. "Why?"

"So we can throw a football around in the backyard of our big house and go fishing in the river down the dirt road from it."

Maya grinned. "Well, maybe you'll get everything you want."

Lucas gapped at her and his eyes widened. "You mean you're- we're- are you really?"

Maya chuckled again and nodded. "I didn't want to say anything until after we got married." She admitted shyly.

Lucas slightly frowned. "Why? Maya I would never leave you."

"I know, but I didn't want anyone to think that this is why we got married so young and so soon."

Lucas grinned. "I don't care what they think as long as I have you and my son." He chuckled.

Maya smiled and shook her head. "It could be a girl, ya know?" She chuckled again rolling her eyes.

"Don't jinx it!!" He yelled.

He could already see him holding that trophy,
Taking his team to State.
But when the nurse came in with a little pink blanket,
All those big dreams changed.

"He's gonna be the best player on the team and take the team to state and- what's wrong?" Lucas cut himself off and looked at Maya. "Babe? What is it?"

Maya just smiled. "It's time."

Lucas' eyes widened.

Hours passed and Lucas stayed by Maya's side the whole time.

Then after the baby was born it was taken to be cleaned off and brought back in a little soft pink blanket. She was beautiful.

Lucas stared at his daughter and fell in love for a second time, a fatherly love full of pride and protection for his little girl.

And now he's wrapped around her finger,
She's the center of his whole world.
And his heart belongs to that sweet little beautiful, wonderful, perfect all-American girl.

Riles.. Wanna see something so adorable? Maya texted her bff.
