“I love you “He said before leaving.
I stood motionless, quietly watching the pain in his eyes. I don’t know why he came here every day. Who was he?
They said I was suffering from amnesia, But how could I not remember the fact that I loved him. Even his eyes don’t seem to help.
Tanya was here He greeted her and enquired about something with hopeful eyes. Tanya patted his shoulders and said something that made him smile.
He left. I don’t know why I felt uncomfortable when Tanya asked me the same question every day. Everything was same as yesterday and yesterday was identical to day before yesterday.
“Close your eyes” she said softly.
“We’re going to find an incident in your life of which you have an exact record” I mumbled inside as I had learnt by heart.
“Locate an incident that you feel comfortable about, Go through it and say what is happening as you go along” She said.
I saw myself walking in the purple fields. Beautiful like a Dream. The child next to me calls out to her mother “Golden Red Fields” .You see here what you want to see. Is it Heavens?
“I can see an exuberant door with no walls around. Everyone is walking in through the door.” I wondered.
“What do you hear and what color are your clothes” Tanya questioned.
“I don’t hear anything. It’s annoyingly silent and I see vague image of myself” I whispered.
“Go back to the beginning and go over it.Pick up whatever additional data you can contact” I heard.
“I see nothing now, nothing at all” I confessed .everything vanished before my eyes in a fraction of second. It was as close as being blind.
I was nervous and asked Tanya to leave me alone as I was struggling inside for the answers. Who was that Man? Why do I see an accident in my dreams?
It was a beautiful morning next day as I had managed to sleep for few hours. Tanya looked pretty. I apologized and showed my gratitude towards her.
I close my eyes and see a beautiful beach house. “It’s a Beautiful sunny day at Malibu. We are going somewhere, may be for a long drive. Everything looks great. My life looks like a perfect recipe with perfect ingredients of happiness, joy and satisfaction blended together” I smiled.
“Who is He? Do you remember his name?” She asked.
“He is my Husband. I met him few months back and we decide to get married. He looks baffled and confused. “I had never loved you, not for a single day. I married you for the Green card. You were my last hope had been trying since forever to tell you everything but I failed. I cannot carry this relationship anymore. It haunts me day and night.” He said all without taking a breath.
I was numb, I said nothing. I did not knew what to say. I see a truck approaching towards us at a very high speed. It was the scariest accident I had ever witnessed in my life” I cried.
Tanya consoled me but I could see the joy in her eyes that spoke volumes of her happiness at her first successful case. I simply wondered, “Hope is a seriously funny thing. Dangerous actually. When you count on hope, you realize that it never mattered.”
Within no time, I see him. With tears in his eyes, he said, “Forgive me for everything I did to you. I promise, we shall live happily ever after”
Right Now, I have no strength for a relationship. And I’m not in love with him anymore. There still are scars, some hazy moments and some invisible memories.Eveything shall fade with time “I said to myself.
“Tanya…Tanya…” I called angrily.
“He’s not my Husband. He is not the man I saw yesterday. He is a stranger.” I choked for breath and stammered.
It did hurt, yes.I did shed a few tears but No regrets. If I could love the wrong man so madly, imagine how Life would be with the Right One.
