Get ready.

I messed up.

Thanks to my dear friend maylet that commented hilariously about how it was 30 centuries ago when these humans began, I started researching more deeply on the time limits of human centuries. This is where I messed up. Humans were first officially announced to be 200, 000 years old, but even before then when our main character was born, where fire was first created, it was 2 million years ago.

2 million years ago.

And that's not even when they made tools. The species of homo sapiens started 200,000 years ago, but when our ancestors created fire was long before we were even Homo sapiens. The first outlook of walking on two legs was in between 2.5-4 million years ago according to the research done that I have seen. This is all from Khan academy so I might not be sure, but I do know, it was definitely not 23 centuries from the stories current timeline. 23 centuries from the current timeline is Egyptian time at the start of actual history/BC.

Imagine. I'm going all crazy here.

Sorry for boring you with some historian information that I count crazy, interesting, and mind-blowing. That first chapter will not be fixed sadly but as long as you understand then I will fix the chapters to come.

Hope you enjoy.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay? " His endless worrying was endearing. I appreciated it as many people do not hold such sympathy to me or know that I exist, but its redundancy is not helpful. This is not my first day in school, so there isn't much to worry about. I nod in my answer without showing the slight annoyance that came with it and the door opens automatically at my sudden movement towards the door. I moved out of the small car with a simple wave to my companion at the passenger seat.

My brother held a correct worry. It was a worry I was thankful for but annoyed at the same time. My new family held a good reputation with the people. They never mistreated me and held onto my secret like it was a crime to say it. Now that the age has come, I will be joining a high school for junior year until the middle of senior. After that, it is too dangerous to come to school or be at home at all. So I will experience this generation as it is and then go into hiding like the generations before.

Junior year went as planned and nothing much had changed since the previous generation. An extra law and another deal. I had met many people and have started a very routine standard for every day. This generation does hold interest like every generation before it.

Senior year has started. I am already 4 months in and in 2, I will be gone. It has become more difficult for me to stay as a recorded citizen even a day after my legal birthday. The new technology of the modern time makes it almost impossible for me to live a normal life in this era. Once my 18th birthday comes around, the system would find everything wrong and notify authorities. My time is being cut short so his worry is understandable, but I am trying to live the fullest here and being reminded that soon I will not be even allowed outside is not helping.

The car door shuts behind me cutting whatever he was planning to say as I walk into the crowds of students. My hands clutched the clipboard to my chest as the urge to document everything around me creeps in my mind. I ignore it as easy as breathing and continue on my way. My last two months will not be filled with my desire of invading private lives. I am satisfied watching for now.

I reach my locker without any trouble. The security guards stare me down as I walked past the entrance like any other day. I wave a greeting as they say their usual programmed line. The other students walked past me towards their lockers with no issues. When they pass the doors they speak no words. How mechanical they do their routines never go unnoticed by me. They always seemed to walk like puppets controlled by invisible strings. Strings attached to the jewelry that document their movements.
