Ruby rushes between the Titans, trying to decide which one she wants, eventually stopping at an Tone-styled, red and black, Vanguard with a sniper. "Greetings, I am R0-53. And you are?" "I'm Ruby Rose!" "Will you be my Pilot?" "If you want!" "Then climb aboard, Miss Rose."

Yang walks up to a Titan with it's arms crossed and taps it with her knuckle. "You don't look so tough." "I have destroyed fifteen Titans in less than an hour. All were stronger than ANGL-5830." "We're gonna get along just fine, you and me. I'm Yang." "J4X-50N. Climb in, Pilot."

Weiss stands in front of Titan that stares back with a glare almost as cold as her own. The Titan cracks first, laughing. "I had no idea a human could make such a cold-hearted glare for so long. I'm D3C3-M83R. Get in, Ice Queen." "It's Weiss, not Ice Queen."

The last Titan looks around for Blake, only to find her sitting on it's head reading a book. "Hey. Name's Blake. Your's?" "5H4D0-B14D3. How did you get up there with my sensors detecting you?" "Skill." "We'll have fun together, I can tell. Hop in, Blake."

The four of them climb into their Titans and make a Link with them. I motion for them to follow me, and we head for the warehouse, the Titans moving for the girls. Dragging the large doors open, I lead the eight inside, waiting for the Titans to settle in before closing the doors. "Alright, girls, hop out. I know the Link is done, so let's get started while we can. I start classes tomorrow, so I can't stay all night." The girls hop out of their Titans, rubbing their necks. "Yeah, should've warned ya 'bout that. Stings a bit." Ruby takes a seat on R0-53's shoulder, Yang on J4X-50N's foot, Weiss on D3C3-M83R's hand, and Blake is back on 5H4D0-B14D3's head. "Ruby, your Titan is meant for long range attacks, hence why they have a sniper. Yang, your's is a brawler. And an exaggerator. Weiss, you got the tactician, you're lucky. They're smarter than most, planning multiple attacks ahead. Blake, your's is stealth based; Radar systems and cloaking are higher caliber than ours. From what I can tell, they're all nuclear, like Angel."

"You'll need Pilot suits, some new weapons built for Pilot use, and knowledge of how to repair your Titans in a pinch. I'll make sure to order the equipment, so don't worry about that. Your Titans are not a Plan A. You are. Titans are our Plan B. If your opponent has a Titan stronger than yours, get out and use a Sidewinder as support for your Titan." They all nod, and Ruby raises her hand. "Yes, Ruby?" "Instead of saying the full names of our titans, can we give 'em nicknames?" "Yes, I actually advise you abbreviate your Titan's names. Much quicker and easier." Ruby calls hers Rose, Yang dubs hers as Jackson, Weiss names hers December, and Blake's is Shadow-blade.

"Alright. You guys go ahead and go back to your dorms, I'll stay here with everyone else. Rest easy, Cadets." The four groan, but leave the warehouse through the small door by my workshop. I look back at Angel. "How much is this gonna cost me?" "AROUND 56,000 CREDITS, PILOT." "Damn. I'd hoped I wouldn't drop past 600,000 for a while. Oh well, guess I did agree to it. Night, everyone." I climb up into Angel's chassis and fall asleep, hearing the hatch close behind me.

The next day...
========================

I yawn while I walk to Port's class, my Wingman strapped to my side, and my sword to my back. Apparently Port's class is the most boring, so I keep my earpiece in.

I see a familiar head of white hair in front of me and run to catch up with her. "Hey, Weiss!" "Oh, Y/N. Good morning. How are December and everyone doing?" I laugh. "They're doing great, I woke up to find them playing holo-poker. Angel won. December was a close second though." She groans. "Really? I though December would've owned at poker!" "At least you're not piloting Rose. Terrible poker voice." "Oh, man. Ruby got screwed."

The crimson haired girl runs up to us, along with Blake and Yang. "Hey guys! Who's ready for Pilot training?" "Hell yeah!" "Mm." Her face lights up when she thinks about Piloting Rose for the first time. "No Piloting today, Ruby. We got combat today." "Aw man.." I laugh, "Don't worry, Ruby. We'll get there." Her face lights up again.

When we reach Port's classroom, I take my seat next to a ginger in armor. He looks at me and whistles. "Hey there, cutie. You got a boyfriend? Name's Cardin. If you wanna have a good time, come se-!" I pull my gun from it's holster and point it at his face. "Back off or you won't see the end of the next hour, Karen." "It's Cardin, actually." I pull back the hammer. "I don't care." "He shuts up pretty quickly after that. When Port goes off on a very embellished story about himself, I lay head on my desk and have a conversation with Angel.

Hey, Angel. PILOT. You think I'll fit in here at Beacon? I mean, we're from a different world entirely, and we have no idea about this world's laws and rules. L/N, IF I MAY. YOU ARE ONE OF THE MOST ADAPTABLE PEOPLE IN YOUR SQUADRON. AND I BELIEVE YOU NOW HAVE A NEW SQUADRON, ONE WHICH YOU HAVE INADVERTENTLY BECOME THE LEADER OF. Thank you, Angel. Go back to sleep mode. I'll come by after I get done at Oz's.

Angel cuts out as soon as Port finishes his speech, at which point the bell rings for lunch. I regroup with the girls, and we head towards the cafeteria, talking about random things, some about Piloting, some about other stuff. In the cafeteria, I see Cardin pulling on the rabbit ears of a girl with brown hair. I sigh and tap my earpiece once, signaling for a weapon launch to my location. After three seconds, a capsule with my V-47 Flatline crashes through the window, landing in my hand. I pull the gun from the capsule, aiming for Cardin's wrist. I pull the trigger once, letting off a single bullet that screws with the nerves in his hand, forcing him to let go. "Pick on someone your own size, asshole!" "Yeah!" Ruby steps up next to me, her weapon in hand. Cardin seethes with rage at us, and calls us out. "You want me to stop?! Fight me then!! If you can beat me, I'll quit bullying people!!" I look at Ruby and nod. She almost squeals in delight.

"I accept your challenge, Cardin! Let's take this outside!" She rushes outside with Cardin, stopping at the warehouse to 'grab something' as she put it. Almost five minutes later, Rose walks out of the warehouse, close the door behind them. I can tell Ruby's Piloting this time due to the excited stature of the Titan. Cardin pales the moment he sees Rose step out of the warehouse. I just turn and head towards Oz's office, having business there. On the way up, I hear Cardin's shrieks of terror as he faces Ruby and her Titan.

Ozpin is standing by the window, watching the 'fight' while sipping his coffee. "Hey, Oz, got a second?" He turns to me. "Ah, Miss L/N. Of course, what do you need?" I rub my neck a bit and smile. "I actually need your permission for some things." "Oh?" You see, I'm in need of parts to repair my Titan with, as well as needing a workshop to do modifications and future repairs. I also need a landing pad reserved for Titan and Pilot matters at all times." He nods a bit. "This is, I hope you understand, going to be quite expensive." "I'll cover it all. I have more than enough." He nods a bit more firmly this time, approving my request. "So I can count on you to make the part requests and landing pad reservation?" "Yes, you'll have the parts within the week." I smile. "Thanks Oz! You're the best!" "No, I'm not. I've made more mistake than any man, woman or child on this planet." "Well still. Most people I knew in the IMC would turn that request down immediately." I walk back to the elevator, waving goodbye to Ozpin.
