Chapter 10: "Nothing"

I put my hand on his cheek and tried facing him, but he looked away.

"Nothing." He mumbled, clenching his fists and looks down.

"Baby, I know something's wrong" I said grabbing his hand.

"I'll tell you later, I'm not in the mood right now." He said and went to a different table.

I really wonder what happened...

*school bell rang*

Time to go to Math class, damn.

"Hey Kiera , what's up?" I heard a voice behind me, and I knew it was Josh. I turned around and saw him holding an envelope.

"Hey, I'm okay but I'm curious about Austin... He's not happy..." I said.

"Yeah, I overheard them talking and all I heard from Aubry was, 'don't tell anyone okay? Or else.' I turned around and saw Austin disappointed. I'm sorry but I had to tell you, you're like a sister to me, and I don't want anything bad happen to you."

I looked down, and wondered what just happened.

In math class I didn't even bother doing work, all I did was think of Austin and Aubry...

"Kiesha! Pay attention!. Or go for a walk, Do I have to talk to your parents and tell them you didn't do work today?"

I stood up and just walked out, I was almost out of the school, but turns out Josh grabbed my arm and hugged me.

"You'll find out soon, I know it."

I sighed and walked further with Josh until we didn't see the school, it was quite silent since we left the school. I looked at the park and asked if we can go there, he nodded and we both went on the swings, I sat there and just went into my own world, thinking of non-existed things like flying away from the earth and making new creature friends, I have stupid imaginations that no one even knows, I don't know why I think like this, but sometimes I draw them out and put it on my wall in the room. When I'm stressed or when I'm out of the world I write it out.

"I'm going home... I'll see you tomorrow." I said as I started walking away from Josh.

"Wait..." He said as he his face was blush.

"What happened?" I said raising an eyebrow.

"What... What should I do if I really like someone, or or fall in love with someone, even thought they are taken..." He said looking away.

"What?? You like someone? Who is this girl you're talking about?" I said surprised.

"Well, I don't know if she will notice me though, she hasn't noticed I like her yet, but it would be bad just to take her away from him..." He said hesitantly.

"Maybe just say hi to make her notice you... Idk maybe you like someone else and just thought of the wrong person?"

"Oh... Right, okay, I'll see you tomorrow, have a good night." He said as he fake smiled. I knew it was a fake smile... He usually plays with his hands when something's wrong.

"Oh... Okay.." I said and awkwardly walked away.

It was a weird day today. With Austin avoiding me and Josh acting weird...

I was home in my bed and just on my iPod checking what was up on Facebook.

Until I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and it was Austin...

"Uhmm, hey Austin." I said.

He walks in and sits on the crook of the bed.

"We need to talk."

"Okay?"

"Aubry.. She.. She" he starts bursting in tears and looks away.

I hugged him tightly and stroke his soft hair.

He takes a deep breathe and calms down a bit.

"She's, she's missing..." He said while wiping a tear away.

I was shocked, and wondered why...

"Since when?..." I mumbled.

"Since after school... Someone told me that a guy grabbed her arm and pulled her into a van, people saw it and my friend Dean has seen it." He said sniffling.

"Someone went to the principle and he called the police, they're in search for her right now, I hope she's okay... And by the way, you know when I said I wouldn't keep a secret with you? She... She told me not to tell anyone but I had to tell you... She told me she was going to get an abortion since nobody knows yet accept me and her boyfriend Bob. I'm not sure why she said or else... I... I'm sorry I was crying but I'll be alright..." He said gripping my hand. His hands were sweaty and my hand became red when he let go, he was really worried and I got worried too given the fact that she hates me...

Since it was shark week, I grabbed the chocolate eggs and gave him half of one. We both ate it and felt better. Chocolate helps with anything, I love chocolate... I have one egg left and thought of saving it for later.

"Do ya want to watch a movie!?" I said smiling.

"Sure, what movie?" He said.

"Breakfast club.." I said happily.

"What is it about?"

"OHHHHHH you'll see, I watched it a bunch of times, it's good!" I said happily.

I turned on my tv and put the DVD into the DVD player. It didn't do anything... I tapped on the tv screen and it didn't do anything. I pressed on the power button again on the DVD player and still nothing...

"Damn..." I said disappointedly

"I don't think it works now, I've had it for 10 years...." I said crossing my arms..

"It's alright babe, why don't we nap?" He said biting his lip and patting on the bed. I smiled and joined him on the bed. We cuddled for a couple hours.

His chest was soo warm on my back... I loved it...

"Supper time!!" My mom yelled she was down stairs.

"Alright mom!" I said and looked at Austin, he was still napping so I gently moved his arm off my waist but he moaned a bit and pulling me closer. Awwe I loved it. I open the door and it creeked, I looked at Austin and his eyes fluttered open. "It's time for supper, do you want to join, or sleep a little longer?"

He rubbed his eyes with his palm and said "Uhm sure"

We went down stairs and our plates were already dished with foods.

"Hey Austin." My mom smiled and played with his hair.

"Hey, thanks for letting me eat here" he said with a smile.

"It's my pleasure, you two can sit and eat in the living room. And watch tv or something, alright?" Mom said.

We both nodded and took our plates.
