Keith PoV
The four of us were talking and having a good time when I suddenly got a text

Shito

Where are you?
Why do you care
Because I'm your older brother and I care about you
The same way you cared about Matt?
What are you talking about?
I've seen what you did to him Shiro, I thought you loved him
I do love him
You have a funny way of showing it
This is your damn fault, if you didn't make me mad none of this would've happened you useless piece of shit
You sound just like dad did
Don't you dare compare me to that man
I have to go now, stay away from Matt and Pidge, I'll make sure he gets a restraining order
You're dead when you get home.

I sigh loudly they asked me what was wrong but with perfect timing the doctor came out to tell us how Matt was doing. "He's going to need a few stitches, but other than that he should be fine, he is able to be released today, but the police want to speak to him about what happened. I decide to step up, "I think Pidge and Matt have gone through enough today so they can ask me anything about what happened to him." I state. Pidge looks at me silently thanking me. "Are you a friend of the family?" The doctor asks. "Something like that." I respond. She stares at me confused, but then says, "Okay, follow me, I'll take you to the police." I obediently follow and get seated in front of two detectives. They asked me a series of questions such as, "What is your name?", "What is your relationship with the Holt family?", "Do you know who did this?",  and "How did the victim know Takashi Shirogane?". Each one I answered as honestly as possible. Telling them how Shiro had anger issues and how Matt broke his heart. I told them how I made Shiro mad by using Matt, and explained why I had a broken nose. They sent cars to my house but Shiro was no where to be seen. Matt and Pidge went home with a police escort and a watchman outside their house, that just left Lance and me at the hospital. I decide to try to ask him about his mom again and he starts tearing up. "I don't know if she'll make it Keith, she's not looking too good." He says then explains what happened to her, how there was a drunk driver who hit her on a pedestrian crossing going 50 mph. How she's been in a coma for two weeks and that she can't breathe on her own. He completely broke down in front of me. I comfort him the best I can but I've never been the best at emotions. After he calmed down he said "So I heard that you can't go to your house until tomorrow, do you want to come over to mine?" I was taken back from the kindness but almost immediately say yes.

Lance PoV
I was surprised Keith said yes, I mean he barely knows me, I could be a murderer for all he knows. We walk to my apartment which is just a few blocks near the hospital, the whole entire time there we just talked about random things, but suddenly Keith perked up excitedly. "LANCE, do you like space?!" He asks. I stare at him confused by the sudden question but respond with, "I mean it's pretty cool."He looks shocked. "Pretty cool Lance, did you just say SPACE was 'pretty cool', do you even realize how big it is like holy shit it's huge or how people used to use the stars for navigation." He kept rambling on and on about the stars until we reached my apartment. "I gotta warn you, it's not that big and like the only food I have are fruit, ramen, and mac and cheese." I say. "I love Mac and cheese." He responds. I smile at him and he smiles back. We enter my apartment.
