A/N Hey Guys! Quick note before you start. Please keep in mind that this is my first imagine collection so it will be a little rocky at first. I am trying my best to make sure these stories are as well-written as I can manage, however there are bound to be mistakes, so if you could comment anywhere you see a problem, I'll make sure to fix it. Thank you!
And another note, I love the boys, so I am not out to make them seem like horrible people or anything like that. I am simply writing out scenarios that pop into my head when I'm in my feels. Also, if you don't like my writing, feel free to stop at anytime. No one's forcing you to read them, so if you have a problem simply leave. Thank you again, now on with the story.
Zach and I have been dating for a few years now. Our relationship start a few months before the band came together.
We have been friends since we were little and we have both always had a passion for music. However, when we started dating and Zach was called to L.A. for the band, he begged me to move with him; claiming that "Long distance relationships never last."
Reluctantly, I packed up my life and moved to L.A with him. The whole time he thought I was just homesick, he's never known the truth.
Back in Texas I had begun working on my own career in the music industry, unlike Zach I had drifted more towards the classical side of the art. I took after my Dad who was an amazing cello player, but I lost him to cancer. His last gift to me was his beautiful cello bow, with his and my initial's engraved into it; I promised to make him proud. I mainly working with the cello and violin, I had applied for a few big-time music schools and was desperately hoping to get in to one.
And I did.
But as soon as Zach's career launch I was forced to put mine behind us to help support him. But lately I've been trying to get back into my music; trying to make a name for myself in the media that's anything but 'Zach Herron's girlfriend'.
However, Zach seems to be irritated with my 'poor efforts' to balance both our relationship and my career.
Tonight he's in another one of his moods, and I know a fight is brewing.
Not wanting to start another argument, I lock myself inside my room and work on a submission for the only producer that's taken a second glance in my direction.
I've been attempting to record this piece for weeks but it's either Zach needs something or another deleted recording because I couldn't hit that damn note right.
The bow glides across the strings in a soothing rhythm with my dancing fingers, but it's interrupted by a knock at the door.
I abruptly stop playing and sigh. Another deleted video.
"Who is it?" I call out, slightly cross from being interrupted, glancing briefly at the camera set up on my desk.
"Y/N, it's almost 12 o'clock at night," Zach's irritated voices rings out, "Will you give it a rest? I can't sleep with all the noise. And you know we have a recording tomorrow."
I frown; this was never how it was back in Texas. Back then he used to want to listen to me play. He used to ask me to play the cello until he fell asleep; claiming that it kept away his nightmares.
"Zach, just a few more minutes. I promise," I plead, "I have to submit this in the morning..."
I trail off as he angrily throws the door open, "Yeah? That's what you said last night, and the night before."
Leaning my cello back onto my bed I stand up to face my boyfriend.
"That's because the only time I've had to work is at night. I've been busy helping you and the boys," I sigh dejectedly.
