Finding out

*Hailey P.O.V*

                I woke up greeted by the sun that nearly blinded me. "I have got to get some blinds for those windows," I sigh and got dressed for school. I wore a black tank top, a pair of shorts, my infinity bracelet and my vans. I just brushed out my hair and left it as it is. I slipped on my Vans and took my bag. I took a piece of toast and called bye to my parents before heading to school. I rode my longboard this time since I felt like it.

               I reached the school gate and everyone was staring at me. Oookkaayy? What did I miss? I suddenly saw Alex walk down the hallway towards me. "Hey babe," he said smiling at me. Omg. He is so hot. Wait..... did he just call me....babe? He gave me a look that states 'Just go with it'. I shrugged and went with it. He slid his arm around my waist and I almost jumped but I regained my composure and smiled up at him.

                "What was that for?" I asked him when we were alone. "Since you followed me to the nurse's office people have been talking and to stop rumours I just said we were together," he said trying to keep a straight face. "Okay so wait. You wanted to stop rumours by telling people a lie?" I said almost shouting. "You could have just said I was your friend or some shit," I said. "You think people would believe a gorgeous girl like you would be 'just friends' with me?" he said emphasizing 'just friends'. I rolled my eyes. "Umm...I told my parents about you and you are invited to dinner," I said. "Oh okay," he accepted without what actually this 'dinner' was about.

*Alex P.O.V *

             I know it was wrong to say she was my girlfriend but what was I supposed to do? I mean she is the only girl I met who I liked and was just so....WOW. I can't believe I'm fallinf for a vampire. This is just like Twilight. But she's Edward and I'm Bella. But I'm a vampire too.... Okay this is getting way to confusing.

               "Yo Alex! Your girl is so hot," for some reason it angered me when Jace talked about her that way. I clenched my fists behind my back "Yea," I said between gritted teeth. Why was I angry? She isn't even my girlfriend. I guess the thought of her with someone else disturbs me?

              After my last lesson I literally ran to my locker and I found Hailey there getting her longboard out of her locker. I greeted her and took mine too. "Just to warn you. You better not tell my parents that you told the whole school that we're together, " she said after a few minutes of silence. I gave her quizzical look before nodding. Whatever.

*Hailey P.O.V *

                  When we arrived to my house I could tell my mum really cleaned up the place. That old rug that we had in our front door for 5 years was clean. That's the first. "Mom I'm home," I called through the house and I smelt the familiar scent of vanilla. She made a CAKE?! hmph!

                  "Hello my name is Elizabeth Summers. But you can call me Elizabeth," my mun introduced herslef and extended out her hand for Alex to shake. Alex introduced himself and we started talking over dinner. Chicken breast, mash potatoes and fries. Yum!

                   "So Alex, Hailey told me that you're a pureblood like her," my mum broke the silence. "Yea I just found out. But just to be clear she is telling me the truth right?" he asked confused. "Yes she is," she answered and he looked relieved?

                   I had a question which I wanted to know since I found out. "How did you become a pureblood?" I asked hoping for an answer.  "I don't really know," I sighed. I at least needed to know that. "Did you talk about this to your parents?" "Yea since you said I could include them. They were anxious a little," he answered. The parents know something.

*Unknown P.O.V *

               She has found him. Not that it wasn't hard but I was supposed to find him.

              *Phone rings* "Yes meet me at the usual spot," I walked to the park and since it was night I was able to roam freely. In the distance I can see them. Mr and Mrs Rivers.

                 "He has awakened and he knows," Mrs Rivers says. "Has he asked you about it?" I asked hoping for a no. She nodded and I became anxious. His connection with her is getting stronger by the day. "I need you to make him not believe in all this," I said sternly and they both nodded. Good.

*Hailey P.O.V*

                The next day I decided to skip school and go tp Alex's house. I need to know. I knocked on the door and a lady opens it with a smile. "Hello dear," she greeted. "Hi umm... Mrs Rivers? " I addressed her. "Oh please call me Emma," "May I come in I would like to talk to you about something," I said. She moved aside so I could enter.

                "So what you wanted to talk about?" she aksed closing the door. "I know you know something about Alex being a pureblood," I said. She looked at me and sighed. "Sweetie I assure you that Alex is not any of this pureblood nonsense. Even he asled me about this. And he is not a pureblood. If anything he is a vampire," she said. "A vampire?! Who told you that? The high council? " I asked  her.

              "The High Council said they need Alex to find more purebloods. But he isn't one. Right?," she squeaked. I sighed. "They were lying to get closer to your son. They want his blood. They don't care about if he dies since he is a pureblood. Only their blood. And now purebloods are alomost gone. We need as many as possible to fight back. Alex is the only other pureblood I know," apart from your brother . My subconscious adds. "Okay but how are we supposed to trust you?" "I know what it's like and I don't want mankind to be ruined," I said softly. We talked a bit more before she finally believed me and that led to my last question.

               "How did Alex become a pureblood?" I asked. "Well. He wasn't at birth. He was attacked by a vampire. The High council said that at a certain age he would awaken and they would need him for capturing purebloods. They said purebloods are vital in a mission but they wouldn't tell me why," she explained and I finally understood. I told her I should get going and she allowed me to leave. I still need to fit the pieces of the puzzle but when I'm done it will be all over. Hopefully.
