Austin looked down at the paper, then back up at the building. It sure didn't look like a convention center, it looked more like a school. But, he'd had conventions in weirder places. Just to be sure, he looked back down at the paper.
Dear Austin/PeanutButterGamer,
We would love to have you at our annual LPer convention! It has LPers from all over the world, each one skilled in a different thing. You are the super gamer level comedian, and we would love it if you and the others could entertain us.
Thanks!

The name was smudged, so Austin couldn't read it, but he knew what it said. It said.....uummmm.......Well it wasn't important! Austin never got invited to things like this, and was so excited to take his first step in to the convention.
But as soon as he did, Austin's world closed in around him.
Austin awoke with his head on a desk. He was startled, all he remembered was walking into the con. How'd he end up here? He scanned his surrondings. It looked like a normal classroom, except there were steel plates where the windows should have been. He spied a piece of paper on the teacher's desk. He picked it up.
Go to the gym. Down the hall to your right.
Well, he didn't have anything better to do. As he arrived at the gym, Austin counted fifteen others already there.
"And another one lives!" Someone shouted, bounding towards him. "Hi! I'm Arin."

"Hi," Austin said shyly. He was never very good with meeting new people.
"What're you so quiet about?" Asked someone behind him. Austin turned. "Hi, I'm Mark."

"C'mon, you guys are scaring him," another voice chimed in. "Hello, my name is Matt."

"Nice to meet you," Matt said, turning away from Austin. "But we still need to explore the school a bit!" With that, he spun on his heel and ran to the center of the room, Arin and Mark following him. Austin turned and saw two people standing near the edge of the room and talking. Austin ran up to them. "Hi!" He exclaimed breathlessly. "I'm Austin."
"Cool," one of them said. "I'm Emile"

"And I'm Adam," the other chimed in.

"Do you guys know why we're here?" Austin asked.
"Nope," Adam said. "I haven't the foggiest idea."
"Me neither," Emile said.
"Hhhmmm..." Austin mused, looking at the ceiling. Suddenly, a loud gong came from the front of the room. Everyone turned to it.
"HELLO!" Shouted a girl on a stage at the front of the room. She looked strange. She was wearing a pansuit, with half of it being black and half white, split straight down the middle. She looked like she had painted her skin to match the suit as well, as it was half white and half black, as was her hair and pumps. She had a slightly psychotic look in her eyes. "My name is MonoMinx! And welcome to my school, where I am the principal!"
"What exactly does that mean?" A guy in the back wearing a mask asked.
"It means that you will all do what I say, or be severely punished," MonoMinx said.
"And what exactly does that mean?" The same guy asked.
"I suppose you would call it... execution," MonoMinx said, twiddling her thumbs.
Austin gulped in harmony with Adam and Emile.
"Now," MonoMinx stated, pacing across the stage. "I'm sure some of you have noticed that this school is inescapable. All the windows have steel plates in front of them, and the door is heavily locked and blocked off. The only way out of this school is to kill your friends and not get caught," She said, cackling.
Everyone in the gym gasped.
"What do you mean by not get caught?" A guy in the front calmly asked, like he needed to know the exact details.
"Simple!" MonoMinx exclaimed, jumping off the stage and landing in front of him. "After a murder is committed, you will have a specified amount of time to investigate, then try and piece together whodunit at the class trial! If you guess right, the murderer is punished, and the rest of you go back to living your sweet lives here. If you guess wrong, evryone but the murderer is punished, and the murderer escapes the school! The kitchen will be restocked every morning, so you can live out the rest of your lives here! Fun, right?!"
"You sound like a murderous, psychopathic, mentally ill woman, but I guess I have no other choice," the guy said, calmly pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. He didn't even flinch at the rules of the school. Austin, meanwhile, was trembling. Killing someone? Not really up his alley.
"Welp, my work here is done. Have fun with your new lives!" MonoMinx shouted, disappearing in a puff of black-and-white smoke.
Then the shouting began.
