"Wake up June and get your butt downstairs."

I look at my alarm clock, its 4:30 a.m. My dad is never up this early and sober this early. In fact he's never sober. This is weird. But i go down anyways and see my mom is home and is different. I get a better look at her. I look almost identical to her so it's easy to know something is wrong with her. She is all jumpy but smiling as if she just became a millionare. Come to think of it I don't think I've ever actually seen her smile. None of us do. In her arms is my sister. She looks pale. But as I look at her more and start to get really scared, she moves and is still breathing. I almost do a happy dance. My sister is my everything. "Sit down June and relax," said my mom. She hands my sister to me. I take her and give her a silent massage that everything is going to be okay. "Izzy wake up!" my dad screams at her. I know she is already awake so she just opens her eyes and tenses up. I hold her tight knowing I will have to her go at some point in my life. Inside I'm shaking and I feel myself going pale. "Let her go," he says, "  Come here Izzy to your dad," says my mom. She has this phsyco look on her face and looks terrible. I feel like I've seen this look before many times. I can't put my finger on it where though. As I let go of Izzy she comes closer to me, which makes it harder to let go. I gently push her forward and she goes. Then my dad starts his big speech.

" See little Izzy here June?" he says. I'm just going to nod because I have no idea where this is going. " Well little Izzy has been so quiet when I'm around her. Which makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong as a father of my standards. So while I was lying on my bed with your mom I thought about all of this. Now remeber I don't do too much thinking, I just do what comes to mind. I told your mom all of this and she wondered why she was so quiet around her too." Mom suddenly grabbed Izzy's wrist really tight. " Now then your mom came up with an idea, but first I must ask does she talk around you a lot?" I nod my head yes and look down knowing what comes next. Whatever I say would affect her the same way. He was going to make her scream and beg for mercy, this moment could be her last moment in life. I start crying and saying "No" over and over again. Then he pulls out a gun. She makes no movement because she knew. " Say something!" He yells into her ear. She makes no noise and no movement. She puts her head down. I see a tear roll down her face. She looks at me one last time and I scream. I scream as loud as I can. He holds the gun to her head. She makes no noise. "Just say something! It will all end if you just. Say. Something." He yells in her ear. He punched her after that. I take a step forward and there was a hand gripping my wrist. then another. They start pulling me backwards. I'm tied to the staircase. I can't move. I can't save her. All I can do is scream. She makes no movement and then the shot of a gun rang out. Izzy sunk to the ground. I screamed and with my last bit of strength I pulled free and I ran. I picked up my sister and I ran.
