Suddenly a weird voice waked me very roughly from my beloved sleep.
Still sleepy I opened my eyes and realized the TV was running.
"Any information can be useful."
Damn, what did they talk about? But the news were already over, my gaze lowered a little and fell onto the clock.
Shoot I m gonna be late for work.
I packed my stuff as quickly as I could and didnt even bother to put on new clothing. Ive never been running that fast, and got into my office at the last second. Out of breath I slowly greeted Alice, who was already typing something into her computer.
She looked up and smiled " oh hey Sam, you sure look tired, but theres plenty to do today, have ya already heard it?"
Still breathing like I got a heartattack any second I questioned "what news?"
"Its about the first victim, Abony.. and it is possible these Monsters were the ones who killed her."
I looked into Alices' green eyes, they looked kind of...sad.
"So whos going to investigate?" I asked right off the bat.
"Well I guess you should be going, I definitely cannot go, still need to analyse stuff." She said harshly
I grabbed my Jacket " where is it?"
"Boston grade, if you go now you might still get some info." I ran outside and didnt even notice the person following me in the shadows.
When I got to the scene of the murder there were so many journalists standing around and trying to get an interview with the police.
Luckily I was able to get through the people in order to take a closer look to the scene.
The corpse was covered by a tarp. There was one policeman standing all alone and I quickly approached him.
" Is it true that she had been killed by an animal?" I bluffed because I was pretty sure, thats what they had said in the news.
"Yeah there were bitemarks all over her body"
Provocation?
"We dont know much about her yet, but-" he was interrupted by an older policeman.
"Thats enough, we dont give interviews."
"But why didnt you find out anything? Didnt she have any family, I bet you dont know anything.. but I can help you." I smirked. The old man started to listen.
"Let me see the corpse." I told him.
"She is not here, shes in the hospital."
That confused me.
"What?? But...whats under the tarp then?"
"Apparently its evidence that needs to be saved. I doubt you can help us."
Puzzled, I searched for words but couldnt find them
"May I know which company you work for?" The younger man asked me.
"Which company? Oh no.. I am a lone worker. Self - employed" what a lie. Of course I worked for a company why else would I be interested in deaths of people.
"Then we can show you... please show me your passport." I gave it to him..
"Alex Johanson." Of course it was a fake ID, our project needed to be done in secret after all, and outing myself would make me a visible person.
" 25 years... come with me." I followed the younger man to his car and he drove me to the hospital.

There she was, lying next to a big machine almost naked. But for gods sake I had never seen such a horrible scene. I couldnt get any words out of my mouth.
The woman was covered in scratches, and bites in different sizes. This wasnt just one vampire, was what I could tell by one look. "What kind of animal do you think it was?"
The man smiled a little nervous and leaned towards me "we think it wasnt an animal.. I know it sounds crazy but.. I mean you know about legends right?" I slowly nodded.. oh no everything but not the police, they shouldnt get anywhere close to our project info.
"Well I know that its weird to say, but we believe this can only be a human like work.. these bite marks.. theres just no way an animal couldve done these."
"So you say it was probably human? Thats hilarious." I shouted, but my voice was trembeling. "Excuse me but as far as I can evaluate the situation, it must have been an animal, she was found in the park after all."
"But thats the only evidence we have."
"Did the victim say sth yet?"
"No she hasnt awaken yet, but shes still alive."
I sighed " I am sorry I have got to go."
I rushed out of the hospital and soon it started raining like hell.
