Good Morning California, Dane Pierce has scored again. Just last night he was with not one but two women. He was spotted with Davina Stone for a charity event, but later was seen with model Sofie Hastens—

I groaned listening to the news reporter on the television. Grabbing the remote, I blindly turned it off hearing the slight hum of the television as it turned off.

After a few seconds I finally cracked open my eyelids only to cringe from the sunlight beaming in the room. I had fell asleep again in the living room with files and papers scattered around the coffee table, some even finding shelter on the floor.

This week was going to be hectic, this week was going to prove that I deserved a residency at Moreno Laboratory, the number one archaeologist program in the state. It was a goal that I had made for myself in grade school; one that I was determined to achieve.

Stretching slightly from my uncomfortable position, I sat up examining the mess of paper work. Files of past assignments on an array of fossils lay scattered at my feet which already been submitted but I sometimes like to restudy them just to ensure I did not miss anything.

Gathering the papers which were separated by brightly colored sticky notes, I arranged them into the correct files and placed them on the table. The clock read 8:00 which sprung me to jump on my feet and rush into my bedroom.

Grabbing my uniform and undergarments, I ran into the bathroom to freshen up for today.

Rushing to work in traffic has to be the worse

Rushing to work in traffic has to be the worse.

Quickly pulling into La Café, a nearby coffee shop, I ordered my regular, a French Vanilla Cappuccino. The smell almost made me moan in delight especially after my semi hectic morning.

Pulling out of the cafe parking space, I remembered exactly what drew me into the place. Moving to such a big city, I wanted familiarity. The cafe's wooden structure gave it a cabin feel and inside, the walls were lined with pictures of the owners family and friends. It gave such a homey feel that kept me coming back every morning.
