Isabelle.

I hear the guards shout,
'People are dying because of rain!'
Is it even possible?
People outside are shouting badly, as if someone is killing them. Are people really dying? The shouts of people are echoing in the ballroom.
I run towards the door.At the door, my eyes are widened at the view I see, people are choking and falling onto the ground. Their faces are wet, if it's the rain wetting or their tears. It is the rain of death.
I see rain as the murderer of innocents.
Is it possible? How can rain kill?
Is it Vinkart? It is him!

Within the first spalsh of rain, thousands of people died. I see them falling onto the ground in front of my eyes.
Some people are left in the castle, but as from different gates people continued to run, people continue to die now.
As raindrops touch their skin, they start to choke, they become out of breath and fall onto the ground.
As their souls leave their bodies, they leave their shouts echoing in the ballroom, echoing in my ears and those echos make my tear glands activate and tears roll down my eyes. The terrible scene, breaks me into pieces.
I close my eyes wishing I can avoid the situation, but I can't.
Their helpless eyes are calling for help and I can do nothing but stare at them.

What shall I do? Where is father? Where is the king?
Vinkart have already made his move! God have mercy!
Why do such evils succeed? Why?

From the corner of my eye I see Father, Uncle Louis and David, and many more soldiers with big metal shields in their hands, running.
All the soldiers, father and everyone stop on the gate.
Finally father is here. Maybe they know what can be done to save people. It seems like all got to know about this rain. Every second a person dies. How unfortunate it is that we can do nothing but stare and feel worthless.
I feel worthless.
But why is father and everyone carrying such big shields?
All are in a hurry, are tensed.
The situations are getting worse.

"Why are you all having such big shields?" I ask.
"These are the only shields which can fight against the magic of Vinkart." Father replies.
"Is there any way we can do to save these people?"
"I don't know." Unclie Louis says.
"We should think of a way. Every second people are dying. As soon as the gates were open, thousands of people ran from each gates and we have 15 to 20 gates. We have no time to just wait for Vinkart to come" David says.

I pressurise my brain to think of a way. The only weopen we have are shields and swords, which are useless in front of this deathy rain. They reflect magic. They don't perform magic. Of course they do, sheilds are also used for this purpose.
They reflect magic. These words expand my brain. These are metal shields. Though the rain has some sort of magic, deadly magic, the shield still won't get affected because they are made of metal. How can water melt the shields. That means shields do not get affected by how powerful the rain is. What if people are rescued and are brought back to the castle under the sheilds? What if, people are choking and are not fully out of breath can be saved? If they can be, they should be saved.
"What if we keep the shields above our heads and rescue the people?" I ask.
"That is a good idea." Uncle Louis says.
"We can do that. Maybe we'll be able to save some lives, as much as possible, at least." David says.
"We don't have enough time, whatever we have to do, we have to do it now." Uncle Louis says.
"I think we should give it a try." David says.
"Okay then." Father says. "Everyone, keep the shield above your head and rescue people. Make sure that the sheilds are above your heads. Am I clear? Now hurry up!"
"Yes." All the soldiers shout.
Father also takes the big shield which is kind of 2 metres long and 1 metre wide. All have the same shields.

"Louis, David and Isabelle, you all take the shields and rescue people who went out through other gates. Even call Rossana. We have to save as many people as possible." He says. "I'll be going."
He raises the shield above his head and so do all the soldiers.
He goes in to the rain. For some reason I feel scared, my heart beats faster. My veins start to shiver as I see father enter the rain.
I turn back and lift the other shield kept on the floor and start to run towards the other gate.
King Louis takes his shield and runs towards the other gate and so does David.
I don't find Rossana.
I continue to run towards the gate number 10.
As I step my left foot out and raise my shield above my head, I hear a voice,
"Everyone stop! Don't enter the rain."
I turn back, I see Rossana standing, scared.
"We have shields." I say. She takes a deep breath and sighs. I see her cheeks getting wet.
"Those shields won't work." She says and bows her head and stares onto the ground.
The way she bows her head, makes my heart pound.
Uncle Louis runs towards the same gate from where my father went out.
I leave my shield and run towards the same gate.
The gate was open, it is still raining.
I see the soldiers lying onto the ground. The big metal shields are crumbled like a paper. I roll my eyes outside everywhere.
My eyeballs stop at a moment. They stuck at a position as I see my father lying on the ground. He is wet.
As I see him on the ground, I fall onto my knees. I feel like someone is tearing me apart.
Tears do roll down my eyes, my heart pounds, I feel my heart heavy. It was my idea, a stupid idea. Am I responsible for his death.
I scream for no reason, "Father!"
I burst into tears.
"Have courage, dear. Kevin was great person, not only was he great but brave and courageous. Father was right at his decision, Kevin deserved the crown." Uncle Louis says and removes his crown from his head and holds it in his hands. He closes his eyes and tears roll down like a silent river.
What has happened?
My eyes are stuck, my heart is tearing apart.
I was not able to save my father and many more innocents. He is just lying on small piece of ground. How strong and brave he was.
All died! No one can be saved. Though people who didn't went out are saved.
Vinkart! He took my father! He took my father away from me!
I scream again and again.
I just wish father comes back, somehow.

Please don't leave me! I say as a river flow down my eyes.
Please come back. Please.
God, please don't take him away from me. God, the only one, return me my father, somehow!

Though we have magic, but magic cannot save anyone's life nor can it make me meet him again, what is the use of such magic.
During the most important hour, we didn't had magic.
Ironically, it rained whose waterdrops are filled with magic, the magic which kills people.
Through magic we cannot save someone from dying but can make some one die!

Today, I have realized that magic is not something to fulfill small wishes, real magic enlightens people's lives. The real magic is not power, its kindness which all of us lack in, which Vinkart lacks in. He thinks that he can make water and fire obey him and we will simply suffer. Power is not everything, it is actually a proof that you have nothing. Don't worry father, your murderer will repay for his sins.
He has performed a great sin today.
He will REPAY! He will.

"Isabelle." David says. His eyes are red and wet. "Its time for you to take revenge."
