Jack's POV:

The sight before me sent shivers up my spine. I don't remember ever feeling cold but in that moment I truly understood what that word meant.

The black arrow in Amorette's chest dissipated into nothingness, then her body began to writhe and scream in agony. I flew to her aid with the other guardians.

Bunnymund: "What's happening to her mate?

Jack: "I I dont k-know, she was...gone"

Suddenly her body stopped writhing and she stopped screaming, her eyes jerked open. They weren't the eyes of the Amorette we had known, they had an unearthly glow of gold and silver. I felt I had seen eyes like that before, but I was so rattled I couldn't place them. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a glimmer in the darkness. Her eyes were like Pitch's.

Jack: "The arrow! No no no, Pitch how dare you! Stop this now!"

Pitch: "I can do nothing for her Jack, nor do I wish to."

North: "Jack what are you talking about? What's happening to her?"

Before I could answer, Amorette sat up so quickly it startled us. She began vomiting a black liquid and dark veins radiated up her chest to her neck from the arrow wound.

Jack: "Amorette! Amorette please, you can fight this. Don't let him win!"

Pitch: "I'm afraid she has no choice now Jack."

North: "Pitch Black let her go! Her body wasn't made for the darkness!"

Pitch: "You know nothing of her, you have no ground to order me around. If I cannot have the children's love, I will have their fear and hatred. Amorette is more like me than you think, once she has a taste of the darkness she will never see the light again."

Jack "Amorette is nothing like you!"

Bunnymund: "We won't let you take away love and compassion from the children mate!"

Pitch: "Oh but my ignorant Guardians, I already have."

We had all stood and turned our backs to Amorette to protect her from him, but suddenly a sharp pain pierced my heart and the world seemed to be obscured by a thick mist. The darkness was oppressing. The hairs on my neck stood on end and slowly I and the other Guardians turned around.

There stood Amorette with her wings opened wide. Her beautiful blonde hair was slowly deteriorating into black and green, her gorgeous face was distorted by angry black veins growing from her chest wound. Her white dress was consumed by the nightmare dust and turned blackish green and became more tight fitting. Her bow and quiver turned dark and every carving of a heart was replaced by a broken one and every dove turned into a raven. Her most horrifying transformation was her wings. The feathers fell one by one, turning into nightmare dust before hitting the ground, until all that was left was the skeletal structure. It was sickening, Toothiana had to turn away and couldn't hide her tears, Sandman's face was filled with horror. All of ours were.

Then her wings began to grow new feathers so black that they shimmered greenish blue, She looked up and licked the black liquid from her lips. Her teeth were all pointed, and as she did this she seemed to look right through us. Then she spoke
