"Wanna watch a movie?" she said

"Only if it's 21 jump street. Channing tatum is hot." I said laughing as she nodded her head in agreement. I got popcorn and told my grandmother she was staying the night. my grandmother was cool with it because she knew I wouldn't do anything bad.

We joked around all night. I really helped. we both fell asleep around 1:30 am while we were watching the parent trap, her pick. I woke up and saw a text from Jamie.

Jamie: hayes come over I hate you being mad at me

Me: you ruined it. your scared to be scene in public with me. leave me alone.

A couple minutes later I heard a knock on my door,Jamie. He came in and saw Mai in my bed with me because I still hadn't gotten up.

"So this is payback? you sleep with a girl? goodbye hayes."

"Jamie come back it's not what it looks like! she's my friend she slept over last night that's it."

"Let's go to the movies hayes I miss you I need to be with you."

"Fine let me tell Mai I'll be back later."

I went in my room to tell her and got ready.

"Damn someone looks hot!" she laughed as I shook my head and left.

The movie was going really good we were holding hands again. it felt nice and I knew we were meant for each other.

"Let's go get some pizza after." jamie whispered to me during the movie. I nodded. why does everything have to be so complicated? why does he have to hide me? i knew I was overthinking and I shook it off. we shared a drink and popcorn during the movie too. we actually felt like a real couple. the movie ended and we left the theater.

"Oh crap. hayes I have to go to the bathroom." he said as he lightly took off. I stood there waiting for him to get back.

"Well, well, well who do we have here!?" A heard a jock said as a group of guys came towards me.

"I was just um-" they cut me off.

"We know you like Jamie, he's like us he would never like you, you fucking faggot.(A/n IM SO SORRY THATS SO MEAN I HATED TYPING THAT IT JUST GOES WITH THE STORY IM SO SORRY)

They ganged around me. now I know why Jamie left. he didn't want to get beat. he left me to get beat up. great. I was in pretty good shape because I played football a lot but I couldn't take on all 5 of them.

"Josh beat him already!" I heard one scream. I think the one talking and who had his fist ready was josh. I ducked as he went to punch me and punched his gut.

"You little fucker." he said as he swung without me seeing and punched my face. I fell to the ground. they all came around me. I felt a kick in my side and pain everywhere. I didn't know what to do. I just let them continue. the pain hurt but I deserved it. I was just about to pass out when they left. I knew Jamie left me. he's so shady I'm done with him. I texted Mai with the last bit of energy I had where I was. hopefully she got the memo to come and get me. I felt like I couldn't breath. all I could do was lay there helplessly. I need to get them back. I saw someone run over to me. Nash and Mai.

"Oh my god hayes! who did this?"

"I.. dont.. know." I whispered. I was tired now. I felt my eyelids closing and people screaming.

"Hello? 911? were at the lowes theater at the mall and our friend has been beaten and look like he's dying. HELP NOW!" Mai screamed in the phone as nash tried to save me. I heard Mai scream-sobbing and nash yelling at her to calm down. that was the last thing I remember.
