"There is no way in hell I am buying you ribeye, Joon," I grit as he chose one of the most expensive menu items.
"Alright, then. I'm going to tell Mr. Choi that you decided to opt out on the project because of your lazy ass," he talks back.
"Argh, fine," I sigh in frustration. I seriously need to get a job to feed this expensive boy because my weekly allowance can only pay for one serving of pork belly with a side of kimchi.
So I just order a Coke, hoping that he would at least give me some of his meat that I obviously paid for.
"Are you not going to eat anything?" He asks me.
"No, thanks to you." That really wasn't true. I was planning on making some ramyun when I get home.
Pretty soon, the meat arrives at our table, and Namjoon attempts to turn the grill on, but for some reason manages to create a fire that was at least a couple feet tall. Immediately turning the knob back, the flame died down and I could notice how hot the air became through the beads of sweat that formed on the exposed skin of our bodies.
"Jesus, Namjoon. You don't turn the grill on all the way!" I try and discipline him like a strict mother even though he was probably older than me.
"Show me how to do it the proper way, then," he says with a hint of desperation.
"Only if you give me some of that ribeye," I click my tongue and he nods, so I turn the heat to low and start grilling the first few pieces.
I was humming casually as I flipped the morsels and placed some on both of our plates. I savoured every bite of beef since I wasn't sure when I'd become a millionaire and eat ribeye again. Just to tease him a little, I moan lowly through every chew.
He stares at me with puzzled eyes as I continue to chew, and pretty soon he speaks up. "Okay, first day and I've gotten to know that you are hella weird."
I nod in slight agreement. "And I've gotten to know that you can't grill properly."
Namjoon scoffs, causing me to raise one brow. "You're damn lucky that I could. Seriously, what if you're taking a girl out and she doesn't know how to grill?"
"Then I'd call the waiter and he'd help me," he replies.
"Your date would probably focus on the man grilling, not the man who paid for everything. Girls like guys who can grill delicious meat," I say and pop another bite in my mouth.
"Okay, we seem to be done here, so let's go," I say and turn the grill off, but Namjoon wouldn't get up. "Get up, Joon. I have to be home by five today."
"Okay, Y/N. I'll drop you," he says while attempting to push the chair back in, but instead sends it lopsided on the ground, causing a loud thud to echo throughout the restaurant.
His flustered face afterwards was enough to make me laugh even though I bit my lip in hopes of concealing it. "You are so clumsy, Joonie," I tease as he bends down to pick the chair up.
"Another thing I learned about you today is that you won't stop nagging me," he groans.
"Don't give me a reason to nag you, then," I say as we walk out.
He walks at a faster pace than me, and I got a glimpse of his backside. "Nice ass," I giggle to tease him.
"Hey!" He yells as he opened the car door for me.
"What? You didn't want me to nag you, so I complimented you instead."
He walked around in various manners to try and hide his bottom from my view. I saw him trip on a soda can in my peripheral vision, and I laughed even harder afterwards.
"Ow, my bum," he whines as he sits down and starts the car.
"Aww, do you need some cream for that?" I whine along with him. Teasing this man might have just become my new favourite hobby.
"Y/N, stop being weird," he says as he pulls into my driveway. Oh, I won't stop being weird if I get to see that shocked, rosy face every time I say something.
"Do you, or no?" I say more seriously.
"No, I'm fine," he replies and opens my door. "See you tomorrow, Y/N."
"See you later, Joonie," I wave delicately. Damn, he hasn't called me babygirl this whole time. Score, I guess?
This week was going to be fun for me but not for my wallet; oh, well. Life isn't fair for anyone born on planet earth.
