Seasonocalypse Part One - OK K.O. Let's be Heroes (AU)

Chapter 1

Present Day

     K.O laid on his side on his bed made of cardboard. He used the teddy bear that he's had for so long as a pillow. Ever since Sabine managed to crossover into humanities realm, she's manage to rally up all the villains and throw the high council out of their control of the world.

      She even managed to get rid of the most famous and iconic superhero organization, P.O.I.N.T. When P.O.I.N.T and the high council fell, the whole world fell into ruin. Heroes were being hunted down, and people were forced to go into hiding. Any heroes that were found would either be killed, or be forced to do Sabine's bidding.

     The only time they were given the chance to live was by Sabine's word, whether they would be useful to her or not. She has control of the world, but there's something else that she wants in order to be an immortal god. She wants the powers of the Four Seasons.

     K.O glanced over to the bandages he had on his left arm and winced in dejection. The pocket knife Enid gave him a while back, he used it to cut himself when things would become too much for him to bear. Dendy caught him doing it once. She understood why he was doing it when she was wrapping bandages around his arm.

     In fact, she apparently did the same thing as him when things would become too much for her to bear. That did explain why she had bandages on her left arm and lower right leg. It was like a bonding experience for the two of them. It felt nice knowing that K.O wasn't the only one who would self-harm.

      When K.O found Dendy, the two hid in the basement of his house for precautionary measures. He gazed over to the friend he still had. He doesn't know what happened to his mother and friends, but he's grateful to know that he still had one friend with him. She was working on something on her HackPack. He sat up and shuffled over to her.

      "What are you working on, Dendy?" he asked his Kappa friend.

      "I'm just adding an upgrade to my HackPack's system." she replied.

      "What's the upgrade?" he asked in interest.

      "Let's just say that this upgrade will allow me to participate in a fight with a holographic weapon in my possession." Dendy stated, closing her screen.

      "Cool." K.O said. "And I did a count on how much food and water we currently have right now." Dendy stated.

      "Let me guess, we're gonna have to go upstairs to get more?"

     "Indeed. However, I've noticed that there's also a shortage of food upstairs." Dendy concurred.

     "How do you know that?" K.O asked.

      "Don't get mad at me," Dendy assured. "But I may have went upstairs to check on something while you were asleep." she finished.

     "Why would you do that?" he asked with aggravation beginning to show in his voice.

     "I wanted to make sure that we were gonna have enough food to last us, K.O." she countered.

     K.O sighed. "I guess you have point there." he said, shifting his gaze away from hers'. Dendy stood up and gave the smol bean a hug. "I understand your concern for me." she told him in a soft tone. K.O accepted her embrace.
