PLEASE NOTE: This is a poem dedicated to Shannon Marie, a friend I lost. Shannon, may you rest in peace.

Heavy rose and sweet peach intertwine,

Intertwine like the friendship, camaraderie, amity.

Your sweet breath, the melodious voice of your soft lips,

Heavens rose, ice melted, heat rose, love.

Three moons ago, the clouds died,

Birds disappeared, rainbows faded.

Enigmatic whispers, the wind's howl,

Shivering in bed, your toes cold.

Two moons ago, heaven closed,

The seas rose above the lands and crashed.

Buildings torn, graves built,

A mausoleum built for you.

One moon ago, the universe darkened,

Blue lips, blue skin, no warmth.

A requiem, your hard lips, motionless.

Emptiness. A hole. A shot.

Forgive me, the times we've spent,

Recordings, memoirs, all gone.

In my heart, the same affection,

In the world, no more.
