The day had come. White Wolf's pack was ready to whoop some ass. They'd gone over the plan on destroying Yalda multiple times and were confident about how they would execute it. Let's see how they fair.
Both dressed in black suits, Iris and Shawn entered the Hanover Corp. headquarters through revolving doors. The couple could not sense a single sapien around them. They walked up to the front desk and requested that they speak with Alfred in his office. "Did you set up an appointment with Mr. Hanover?"
"No, but that shouldn't be a problem."
"Mr. Hanover is busy at the moment, and he doesn't accept walk-ins."
"Not even the alphas of White Wolf's pack?" The receptionist's face went pale. She quickly picked up the phone and made a call to his secretary. After they finished talking, she gave them the directions to his office. They walked over to the elevator and went up to the top floor, where they found Alfred's secretary awaiting them. "Please, follow me," she instructed and guided them to his office. Alfred stood up from his desk chair, with a maniacal smile on his face. He looked much younger than Iris had imagined. He seemed to be in his early to mid-thirties, taller than Shawn, and honestly rather good looking, but she could see right through his icy blue eyes.
"Your visit was unexpected. What brings you to Canada?"
"Like you don't already know. We know a mole informed you of our plans."
"Ah! So you guys aren't as clueless as I was led to believe... I hear your girlfriend here is a vessel for White Wolf."
"You heard wrong. I am the new white wolf," Iris corrected. After the night she spent with Shawn, her demeanor completely changed; she was ready for anything. Alfred smirked. "I like her. She's more entertaining than the legend."
"It's the 21st century, don't talk about me as if I'm not here."
"I apologize. Please, take a seat." They all sat down. "What brings you both here?"
Shawn started, "If we are being honest, we don't have the means to go to war with your growing empire. After much consideration, we have decided that it's best to join you rather than fight you." Alfred lifted an eyebrow in curiosity. "This is surprising. You preached a successful revolution, but gave up the minute you discovered we were a step ahead."
"What can I say? We came to our senses. We don't have the numbers and resources that you do."
"Does the rest of your pack plan to follow in your footsteps?"
"The new and improved White Wolf has more power over them than our predecessor, my father."
"Having you join our pack will be quite the family reunion — you, Carlito, Manuel, and Rebecca." He smiled as if he were fishing for a reaction from Shawn. "I didn't realize my family was so important for you to go out of your way and memorize our names. Don't you have people that can keep track of us for you?"
"I scouted your father because I knew he was a good business man, but he was a sucker for any sob story. He got involved with the wrong people, and dragged his business through the ground. It made no sense to me how someone with such supernatural strength could allow sapiens to walk all over them like that. I pitied him, because he did not recognize the greatness within him. I feared you were following in his footsteps, but look at you now."
