Introduction

Malia Lawson is the poster child for depression: parents divorcing at age five, alcoholic

father taking custody of her, father paying more attention to work than her, being bullied because of her weight, and losing her best friend. When her father's job transfers them to Nashville in the middle of 6th grade she decides to lose weight and have the dream body she has always wanted. Three years later, her father's job transfers them to England. Malia wants to move back with her beloved mother and siblings. Her father allows and she is on her way back to Los Angeles. Facing her family is one thing, but facing her bully and best friend who betrayed her is another.
