Sebastian placed his hand on Ciel's waist, and intertwined their fingers. Ciel tripped over his feet and accidentally stepped on Sebastian's gleaming black shoes. Lurching forward, his head pressed against Sebastian's chest. Casually, Sebastian smiled. The longing look in his eyes showed he wasn't angry. More over, he thought it was cute.

"I see you still need more practice dancing, My Lord, let me help," he said quietly, under the soft him of the slow song playing in the back ground. The song reminded Sebastian of a butterfly coming out of it's chrysalis and gently taking flight through a meadow of small pink flowers. Sweet and lulling.

Ciel blushed furiously and glared at Sebastian. Backing away, Ciel begun to put the distance between them again. He didn't hate him, he was just embarrassed about being called out for his mistake.

"Shut up," he snapped and looked away. Sebastian slid his arms around Ciel, pulling him into a hug. "W-what are you doing? Let me go!" Ciel protested, not putting much physical force behind his words.

Sebastian held Ciel quietly listening to the sweet lull of the music rushing him into a warm place inside of his mind. His emotions came flooding back to him, the heartbreaking cries of so many lonely souls. Why Ciel? Of all the humans Sebastian had served for and aided in mindless endeavours had he fallen for a boy so conflicting. Ciel is weak and has trouble holding back his rage and childish ways, but so strong willed. His rash decisions made life difficult for Sebastian, but it's cute in a way. Like watching a puppy try to play the top dog.

"Sebastian..." Ciel's voice pulled him back to reality. "People are staring, let's go sit."

Sebastian nodded, looking at his master so lovingly, like all he could ever want is to embrace the small boy. Releasing his hold, they left the dance floor and found some chairs along the sidelines. Both familiar and unknown faces walked past the pair.

"Hey Sebas-chan!!!!" Grell screeched, his long red hair bouncing around his head. Sebastian's face morphed from a calm loving expression to more of an "oh god, please not this again." Ciel noticed the scene, and sighed indifferently.

"Hello William," Ciel greeted the reaper standing to the side. William adjusted his glasses with his sheers.

"Can't talk, I'm working," he grumbled and glared at Grell, who was flirting with Sebastian in an uncontrollable array of sparkles and hearts. "Plus you still have that vermin following you around," he motioned to Sebastian, never peeling his eyes from the people on the dance floor.

"What exactly are you doing?" Ciel inquired, ignoring the comment about his butler.

"Making sure things don't get out of hand, we have a few souls to take tonight," Will smirked a bit, escaping his usual all-business personality. His eyes glazed over Sebastian, who was fighting off any sexual advances made by Grell.

"Hmph," Ciel growled. Hateful and annoyed looks showered Grell.

Will's gaze ventured to Grell's unique figure, which was leaning over Sebastian with his hands places on the demon's knees. Sebastian was leaned as far back in his chair as he can get with his head turned away from Grell's attempted kisses. Ciel grumbled hateful and profane words to himself as he watched the display. Internally Will was smiling, his knowledge of the 'To-Die' list making the night very interesting. Sebastian's eyes met William's, they spared the verbal conversation. Will adjusted his glasses again, under the glint of the blue tinted lights overhead. His eyes saying, "I know." Sebastian shifted uncomfortably in his seat as glanced away. Their gaze met once again. Many things were left unsaid between the two.

"Grell, we should patrol," Will suggested in an attempt to get him off Sebastian's lap and back to work. Grell agreed flamboyantly, leaving Sebastian and Ciel to each other. The pair trotted off.
