When Dr. Spencer Reid tries to go on vacation from the FBI he finds himself snowed into an old library owned by and old Spanish family. There he meets our main character who I was controlling. She introduces him to her family, her Papá and her brothers David and Damián. She also introduces him to her Abuela, Mama Carla, her mother, and her third brother Diego through photos as they three had already passed on. Mama Carla through old age and her mom and Diego in a car accident.

She ends up Bain haunted by the ghost of Mama Carla and believes it's her time to die. The family believes firmly in communication with their dead ancestors so this was not surprising. They believe their ancestors warn them so they'll be ready.

She the girl sneaks up into a secret room in the attack and Reid follows. This room is where the girls get ready to die, making sure they look their best. She opens the secret door and sits at the vanity to get ready while Reid peers in through the open doorway.

She thinks she sees her mother in the mirror and talks to her as she puts on the traditional makeup. Then Reid accidentally knocks a book over on her shelf. She panics for no one is meant to see the room. She thinks her family will be angry and blames that for her mother's appearance in the room.

After trying to talk to her mother she realizes that that woman was not her and just looked a lot like her. Spencer throws her a knife as the woman tried to kill her maiming the imposter in the process.

Reid and the girl followed the imposter downstairs where she had begun limping towards the house part of the library. Pissed, the girl threw the knife landing into the imposter's back for the killing blow. The woman was not going to hurt her family.

She turned to thank Reid who marveled at her throwing skill.

Then there was a time skip to when Spencer was getting ready to leave as the snow had melted. The girl stood next to a large mirror where the dead trio were watching for real this time. She explained what happened and asked why the lady "looked so much like Mama Carla" then Diego said that "there was a really good reason for that".

As he said that, two bronze-skinned blondes walked in eager to be out of the cold. They introduced themselves to the girl and explained the situation. Apparently Carla had a twin who abandoned her family and moved to California and her daughter, their mom, wanted Carla's side of the family dead, for some reason. The dream ended in a hug from her new brother with Diego smiling at them through the mirror.
